Unless we are to assume faraday was wrong about what caused the incident...which doesnt make sense to me. THATS the one thing hes wrong about??

The bomb can't be the incident, because if it blew up, it would take all the housing along with it. But, the bungalos are still there 30 years later.

I seem to recall Hurley asking who was president shortly after coming back to the island. What I'm wondering is how Jack can detonate the bomb and still live? That seems like a risky situation.

His "help me' alone reduced that possibility to near zero for me. John saying he wnaetd to kill him yesterday was another great 'shock Locke' line similar (but not as badass) as the "we need to move the island" line from last year. I also think killing J might be a good thing/what Jacob wants. I love that John got all the Others to go along on the trek to go see the wizard, errr Jacob.

I am solidly back on the Whatever happened, happened philosophy. Daniel's whole reason for coming back to the island is because he realized he could change things. So we can presume that if he didn't think he could change things, he wouldn't have come back. We have been lead to believe that this is something new. But old Eloise knew that she was going to kill her son. So that always happened. Meaning Daniel thinking he could change things always happened (because he wouldn't have been on the island to be shot by Eloise if he didn't think he could change things). So either they don't set off the bomb and stop the incident....or they set off the the bomb and it IS the incident. Whatever way it goes, that's the way it always went. MHO......for now

So the "others" were not living right when they were in Dharmaville.
