Just checked on Froogle.com and so far it's only available for pre-order on Amazon.

I preordered it on dvd, but I'm thinking about cancelling it and getting it on blu ray instead. I have to see what (if any) different extra's there
are.

I'd like to get it on blu-ray too but that might have to wait a while.

A word of warning in regard to Amazon: Two years ago I ordered S4 from them, and didn't get it until a week after the release date.
I ordered every other season from Buy.com and got it on the release date, except S5 last year which came a day early. |

.. and I've gotten DVDs with the discs rattling around inside the box.
CSI:NY S3 - the box was empty. I don't do Amazon anymore unless it's my only resource. |

I've had more problems from other places than I've ever had from Amazon, plus any time I've had problems with them they've taken care of it
fairly quickly, so I'll probably just stick with that unless it's way cheaper somewhere else. Thanks for the warning, though,

When you order 3 seasons of CSI and get to the 3rd box - got the pjs on, got my tea, snacks and stuff - and it has no fucking discs in it, you just
can't get it taken care of quickly enough.
I needed an exorcist that night. |

Lol, yeah, that would suck. I always check stuff as soon as it gets here, no matter what it is. I've had too many orders screwed up (not just from Amazon,
just in general) to not check right away.

That's what I should have done.

Just a quick heads up that Walmart is also offering it for pre-order now, but only on DVD.

Someone who understands BluRay please help me. I have decided for sure to get a BluRay player for this release.
Of course I want my BluRay to connect to the Internet, it will have to for all of the Lost University stuff. But I was checking out a couple of players this weekend, and they all require some proprietary bullshit wireless reciever. Is there a model where I can just plug in my damn extra usb receiver and get the thing online? I don't want to spend $100 extra dollars on a wireless receiver to use BDLive, and I can't move my internet home base and/or drill through walls to get an ethernet cable in. |

I have no idea, my blu ray player is my PS3 and I already had a wireless router, so that's how I hook up.

I woke up this morning remembering there was already a hole in the wall behind the entertainment center.
So I went out and bought a blu ray player! It's really awesome. I'm watching Serenity now. It also lets me stream Netflix movies and youtube videos which is kind of nifty. Now, I wait for December. |

Anyone know if the special Dharma edition of season 5 has different stuff for dvd and blu ray?

You mean the chachkas, Cindi? I think it's the same for both.

How are the actually DVDs contained in the Dharma set? Can anyone tell how they are protected in floppy disk covers? Is that paper?
I'm a strange one. I might have to buy the regular season 5 set and the Dharma set. |

Wizard of Oz on Tuesday for sure. Then Pushing Daises. I never bought the DVDs and I am glad I didn't now. That show will look brilliant on BluRay.

Amazon is having a blu-ray blowout if you guys wanna stock up on some stuff. Hope this link works:
Blu-ray blowout
Question if anyone knows: Is there any point to buying something on blu-ray that was made before they started filming in Hi-def? Like if I replace my Shawshank Redemption DVD with a blu-ray version, is it going to be much better? |
