Good solid analysis, Trixie. I also really liked your thought that the Erinn/JT scene was actually from this week.

I think Sierra or Taj could be "life changing" similar to Janu's experience being exiled. Since we know Coach and Stephen are the other two who
lose reward, I think we can say it's neither of them. Coach has survived on his own many times, apparently. While Stephen has already done the whole exile
thing. Sierra would fit nicely, I imagine, and they're more likely to send someone who is a complete outcast in the game.

I'm wondering if the "game changing" and "life changing" aspects are both positive for this person. If Stephen goes repeatedly, he
might become a target for someone trying to flush out an idol. Ironically, he does technically have one but all the players have different amounts of knowledge
on the whole idol situation. How many there are or were, where they are or if they left the game. It could become interesting for Stephen.

i agree ILUV. I'm also thinking that "game changing" doesn't necessarily mean "gets the idol". If Sierra went and had a life
changing moment, it could have put the fire back in her to win. She comes back from EI, uses that fire to WIN the IC, thus making it game changing as she would
have otherwise been voted out.
Now at first, I'm thinking that's not really game changing. More along the lines of a stay of execution for one week. So how can it be game changing? Well, as many are speculating, since Sierra can't be booted now, there could be a possible switch up with Coach or Tyson going, which throws the C/T/D/JT/S alliance out the window and completely flips around the end game results. Coach/Tyson/Debbie in the end are now the next to go and Sierra/Erinn/Taj last a lot longer than they would have. So by all accounts, a rejuvenating life changing moment on EI for Sierra could very well be game changing for not just her but everyone else as well. |

Wezzie wrote:I agree with Wezzie. You know, we forget that just prior to the merge, the Jal's all vowed to stay together and wipe out the Tims. Is it possible that scene comes up after there is an epiphany by Erinn that for all of Coach/Tysons talk about keeping the Jal's together and knocking off the Tims, it is not their true intention when she finds out Coach/Tyson are targeting Sierra. Erinn would then realize that she would be next as it is clear there is no love lost between her and the rest of the Jals. If Coach/Tyson/Debbi have kept their alliance with JT/Stephen secret, there would be no reason for either Sierra or Erinn to flip to the other side before this. They would just continue to fly UTR and wait until the end-game. I could see both Sierra and Erinn blithly doing as they were told and going along with Coach/Tyson/Debbi because they thought that they were safe. I really can't see them being included in any strategy sessions with C/T/D. I'm sure that it would be an eye-opener to have a dose of reality thrown in their face when they learn that it was a lie. I'm sure it would cause Erinn to go to JT to see if there was a chance of joining the Jals. (In fact, maybe Sierra is calling Debbi a lyer when she finds out that she is this weeks target. We have assumed that she would be mad about Brenden but maybe she only gets mad when she finds out that Debbi was in on the plans to vote her out. I am only saying Debbi because it seems to be a womans voice in the background.) On the other side of the fence, if JT/Stephen/Taj hadn't been approached by either Sierra or Erinn before, why would they think they would flip. It seems like JT and Stephen wait to be approached. Coach and Tyson both approached JT on almost the first day of the merge and probably made it seem like Erinn / Sierra were on board (which for all intents and purposes they were). Once Erinn seeks out JT and exposes a fracture in that scenerio, I would fully expect JT to take advantage at the right time. This is going to be a great week!! |

rower wrote:There's one problem with that, Erinn knew that they were targeting both Brendan and Sierra. She was in on the split vote last week. So she'd know it was Sierra this week (if she doesn't win immunity) and after that she can flip over to JT/Taj/Stephen to save herself. That's why I think she's the devious one this week. Tyson and Coach are going to think JT is with them, she's going to try and get JT with her. Which way will JT go? btw, the way everyone talks to JT my thought earlier this week that Stephen could win (if not you know who) is heading speedily down the gurgler. |

Not only is Stephen wet he has his bag and is standing on the edge. I tend to think if Sierra has the HI she isn't very concerned with the IC. In fact I
think she be so frazzled she's not be functional. And if she is the next target they shouldn't want her to even have a smidgen of a chance at the
Hidden Idol.
Of the others I'd lean to Deb as potentially having a life changing event. Coach would act like it's an everyday event. Bob had a life changing event (his exploration) after how many trips to EI? At least 2.

I dunno, I feel pretty sure that, whatever the story is, it's not going to be about Debbie.
I think Stephen's bag strap is more meaningful than his wetness. |

I tend to think if Sierra has the HI she isn't very concerned with the IC. But if the HII was hidden at camp again, she wouldn't have had time to look for it before the IC. |

I think the reason the idols were hidden at the camps initially was so that each of the 2 people exiled together at least had the choice and opportunity to
keep the clues to themselves or share. Hard to look if the other person insists on following you around. If they hide another one, I think it would be on exile
itself. It at least gives the exilee a fighting chance to find it or maintain the impression they found it if that's the way they want to play it.

mahdoo wrote:The flip was supposed to be once Sierra was gone. Basically they were going along with the Coach/Debbie/Tyson alliance until the numbers were more in their favor. If Sierra wins immunity they probably target Tyson. Probst hinted in his preview that Tyson might try to take out Coach soon. Taj/Stephen/JT probably side with Coach if that happens (if Tyson doesn't win immunity) because Tyson is a bigger threat. |

The ads show all four women marching into the IC, so it can't be Sierra who's exiled (or Taj). That leaves Stephen or Coach, and since Coach is
allegedly Mr. Solo Survival guy, I doubt exile would be likely to teach him anything (at least in his mind).

donutsrule wrote: donutsrule - You're right about Erinn knowing they were going to target Sierra next. BUT if Sierra wins immunity then I think C/T/D would lobby to vote out Erinn and that would be a surprise to Erinn. She has probably been led to believe and/or thought that after Sierra is gone then the remaining Jals would target the Tims while they still had the numbers. If she ends up finding out that she is the next target then I think she would re-evaluate her game and make her move. This would be risky for her because she probably has no idea whether JT would be receptive or whether he would run back to Coach or Tyson and seal her fate. I say its about time the women get some of the action. The men have been dominating the show this season and I really don't believe that none of the remaining women are simply sitting on a log waiting to be voted out. I mean come on they must be talking strategy to someone or else they are dumb as dirt. It would be fun to see the women shake things up. |

Not that I would ever go against the grain but maybe the life changing moment comes during the reward. The Brazilian Rain Forrest is losing 1000's of
acres every day and I know that Survivor in the past several years has taken up various ecological causes. I am sure that other areas of Brazil are equally
endangered. And then there is the simple lifestyle of the locals. It might be a real eye-opener to someone like Taj or Sierra or even Erinn.... in fact all
of them have the potential of being moved or changed. (oops, with the exception of Coach who will probably proclaim, been there, done that)
Perhaps someone on the reward is overwhelmed by what they see and what they learn on the exotic reward. OR it is a visit to a tribe of indigenous people.... (the same ones who stalked and kidnapped Coach. Turns out they wanted him to be their "Idol" LOL) Anyway, I have been touched many times watching the rewards where the players either get contact with the locals or get to go to some spectacularly beautiful place. I could imagine experiencing one of those events could be a "life changing moment." Just some spec but maybe worth consideration. |

CBS webclues give more insight ...
One castaway begs for a second chance but becomes an outcast after an emotional outburst.Sierra's "you're such a liar" outcasts her. But she was probably an outcast before that given her hairstyle during the episode. A group of castaways get a taste of Brazilian culture and cuisine on an exotic reward.Nothing new. A nail-biting immunity challenge comes down to the wire with shocking results.Nothing new, Sierra wins? One softspoken mastermind presents a devious strategic move to his alliance at the last minute. Will he be able to pull off an upset? Not Erinn, but J.T. that pulls a last minute upset. Probably tries to rally Taj, Stephen, and Sierra to save Erinn and vote out Tyson. This explains the whole Erinn/J.T. scene last week. |
