I know that in the case of a earthquake I should stand under a doorway or under a desk because I've been told by teachers and others what to do in that
situation since I was a kid. I was also taught what to do in the case of a fire, attempted kidnapping and other emergencies. But what about random violence?
Say you're in a store with only one exit and suddenly someone takes out a gun and starts shooting and the gunman is between you and the door. Your first instant is to drop to the floor. But say the gunman starts walking towards you shooting people point blank on the way. What do you do then?
It seems there should be some kind of a meme about these things now. Why aren't we taught what to do in these situations?
