The problem with this show is that you can't get rid of the uberpimped until at least the top 10 unless you have 3 in the bottom 3. The judges will
otherwise save the pimped dancer(s).

I never "got" Natalie, and I was afraid that she was going to be the overpimped girl who could do no wrong all season. I'm glad to be spared
that. On the other hand, I don't see what their (Mia's) problem was with Brandon. I wasn't completely sold on him until the solo montage last
night, but each time he appeared, my heart leapt a little. He is a very affecting dancer... Overall, though, I think it sucks that the ones they have high
expectations for get cut so much more easily than the ones they have low expectations for (Chbeeb, for example).
What pisses me off MOST is the way that they had them choreograph and work on the group numbers all night with no sleep. That is not safe! This isn't Idol where if they fuck up, they move on. A dancer pushing him/herself too hard with no rest can get injured and do permanent damage. It's not worth it for a little added drama on a TV show. If it's a time thing, make Vegas week 5 days instead of 4 and let the dancers rest! Was it just me or is this the hardest they've ever been? They cut or at least castigated dancers who, to my eyes at least, danced way better than performances by finalists who got rave reviews from the judges in seasons past... I'm actually excited that there is a whole hour for the green mile, and I hope that they show a little of ALL of the dancers' "journey" in Vegas before they cast or cut them.... |

Any word on Anna Dunn (hawt tomboy)? They avoided showing her completely last night.
Oh.. they also didn't show the twins ("power" and "performance" or evs), right? Sad Gay Football guy didn't make it. Nice story. There are a few sexy gals still in it (Janette and Asuka leading the pack). Yet, my favorite dancer this season is Ryan. He's just such a gifted dancer and a smart choreographer, it shows in his performances, his group's performances, and his brother's performances. Yeah, he might be too good for the show. How come Mia got to be a judge for her own choreography, but the other choreographers did not? Taint. |

Screerider wrote:Apparently someone at another site googled him and found out that Ryan is a Drama Desk Award nominee and a member of the Broadway Theatre Project. He also has his own studio. So he's obviously a pretty established Broadway choreographer who probably doesn't even really need the show. If I were one of the producers, I'd want him to come back for season 6 so he can choreograph for the show.

That guy was obviously not good enough. It was clear from the audition.
There are obviously a lot of people who are either borderline or simply not good enough to make the cut but are taken to Vegas because it makes a nice TV moment during the auditions. But unless they're really quick studies or they took intesive lessons in the interim, they're toast. |

I just liked the story of rugged football dad supporting milquetoast dancing son. His dancing? Huh... don't remember.
I think Ugly Natalie's termination deserves a pic tribute, just like I did last season:
Could have been this season's Jessica King. |

Man, I've watched the Tony Bellisimo clip about 3 times and it's still touching. He is a hip-hopper, seems like he can handle jazz, ballroom, and
Broadway, but yes his contemporary stunk up the joint with his lanky arms and spins. He's endearing none-the-less. And Cat snickering saying she loves it
when "fully" grown men cry. I loved that whole scene. I'd vote for him - if he makes it.

Natalie has a smile that could light up the stage.
Anyone who knows me, knows I hate gingers with a passion that could melt all the glaciers in the world but she is adorable and thise blue eyes of hers are amazing. |

If Ryan doesn't make it, they definitely need him to come back as a choreographer next season -- and replace Tyce. What Tyce does is NOT what good
Broadway choreography looks like -- it's pure cheese. And almost every time he choreographs for the show, one of the dancers stuck with him goes home or
is at least in the bottom 3. And he's obnoxious.

I hoped that we would see less of him this year, but it certainly does not look that way - the judges/producers seem to really like his choreography for some reason... Worst part is that Courtney & Katee and Donyelle & Heidi all got stuck with his dreadful routines for the finals |

As long as they're still dancing there's no reason for them not to go, it's a free dance workshop with great choreographers that work in the industry. Now if they've stopped dancing to have a different career or go to college then I wouldn't expect them back. Although with so little time between auditions I'd expect to see more of them back. |

I swear that the Benji/Donyelle "Hairspray" number he did was possibly THE worst choreography this show has ever had, and the judges made it out to be fantastic. Seriously, if real Broadway was that awful, I would never see another show again... |

Cause the world keeps spinning round and round... Anyway, despite my hate for Tyce broadway (honestly, where is the dancing? What pisses me off even more is a lot of judges/viewers love his routines, and they call them "a lot of fun"), he does great contemporary pieces. Didn't he do Allison/Ivan's "Why" routine. He also did the overated but still great Jessica/Will adam/eve routine.
