I think Drew is saying that if Philip was in the B3, Max probably would've been out of it.

Well, as much as I enjoyed the disco routine last week, Brandon does look like Carlton and his grin often looks pasted on. It could just be how he looks though
and he might not be able to help it. What Mia said sort of baffled me, the bit about "I despise everything you stand for" thing. I though maybe she
knew more than we did about him. Otherwise, it came off as just sort of a visceral dislike, which happens sometimes, but in the context of an audition
that's supposed to be based on artistic merit, I thought her comments were inappropriate.
I thought this was going to be a great season, and it still may yet end up so, but so far I'm not really connecting with any of them. And lol @ the idea that cg needs anyone to think for him. |

I want to respond to that, AMT. Can anyone tell me some words to say?

The problem this year is the lack of power couples. Other than Brandon and Jeanine (which doesn't even count for the Brandon haters), there aren't
really any couples that have clicked like Katee/Josh, Chelsea/Mark, or Twitchington (I'll include them even though I hated them). Ade/Melissa is more of a
second tier, Gev/Courtney level of coupling this year (Ade seriously has no personality -- you know that because he has to rely on a hair pick to make himself
memorable). Jason/Caitlin looked promising, but they just don't have any chemistry. All the other couples have some glaring weakness. I think the judges,
in trying to make things fair by coupling dancers with a lot of facetime and fanbases with fodder created too many meh couplings.

As badly as disco's been on the show, I still like every disco routine better than any given quickstep number. ::shudder::

This is where the show gets sketchy, too. They have shown several people for several seasons. With the exception of our dearly departed Ashley, this can be a
huge advantage that does not really seem fair. After the dance-off last year, it almost does not seem right to have Philip on that stage. GEt him his own show,
fo sho; but it seems odd to build him up like that and then act as if he is on the same playing field. It makes me dislike him more than I want to. I like PC.
I do not think he is right for this overall show, but I like him.

That's a cheap shot. Those ARE his own thoughts on the subject. Mia, in fact, never said that. I don't see it the same, but cg has every right to voice that opinion...Is this TWOP?

I like him too, but I kinda agree. After seeing him do the lameass danceoff last season, I figured he wouldn't be able to be on the show this season. Shows
what I know.

I actually found Chelsie t be the best overall dancer last year. I liked Mark's personality more, but Chelsie managed to really nail everything, and was
actually given harder routines than Katee, ultimately. I thought Chelsie and Mark were THE power couple for most of last season.

I thought Chelsie came off bitchy and Courtney came off nice, but that's not really the point. I liked Courtney more as a DANCER because she adapted more
to her partner. Courtney of Courtney & Gev was way different from Courtney of Courtney & Joshua or Courtney of Courtney & Mark (or whichever other
pairing). It shows me that she is in the moment and just alive out there, rather than just doing what she does regardless of whom she is dancing with...
Chelsie always seems the same, no matter who her partner is... |

Chelsie didn't come off as bitchy to me, but there was a striking difference in her off-stage demeanor. To me she just seemed like a vapid teenager, but
when she hit the floor, she had a very adult sensuality and appeal. Courtney just seemed to me like the sweet but bland girl next door.

That is so odd. I wanted to hate Chelsie, but wasn't able to. I NEVER saw her, outside of the initial stages, looking bitchy. Young? Yes. Immature? A Bit.
Bitchy? No. And I did not find Courtney memorable AT ALL as a dancer.

^Yeah I had a similar take on Courtney and Chelsie. But Mark and Chelsie had an undeniable chemistry and I sort of thought her star faded after Mark was
eliminated. For me, she was the moon and he was the planet in that duo.

They were eliminated the same night. Do you mean when they switched partners?Yeah, I was about to point that out. Anyway, I never understood the Chelsie hate; she was my favorite dancer last season, because she really nailed pretty much every style that was thrown her way, and like someone said, she was given harder choreography than Katee. I find it funny that Courtney made it so far, because I've heard rumors that she was the last girl to make top 20 (as in, another one couldn't do it, and so they picked her instead). I liked her, and even though she was a solid 3rd place female (because really, all the other girls were far less memorable than her), I don't think she should have been in the finlas over Chelsie. I didn't really hold it against her, though; she really worked for it. It's not like Twitch taking Mark's place, which was ridiculous. |
