It was essentially the same challenge and they both failed. If they had kept Angel then I wouldn't be as critical of them keeping Reco. Oh, but right...he really wants to be there.

Halston is up there with Channel. His clothes were simply amazing and still inspire a lot of the best stuff out there today. And Halston was a guy, and apparently the company still exists. Angel's outfit was not only poorly designed, hideous actually, but also poorly constructed. I also think it's shame that Reco didn't fucking know Halston. However, his construction wasn't poor. If he had simply gotten rid of the bodice and let the dress hang from the shoulders with those long sleeves he would've been on the money. There was no editing you could've done to Haven's outfit that would've saved it. That brown fabric was dreadful. The fit was poor. The construction was lousy. And the design was even too boring for Filene's Basement. Plus, she knew her designer and still couldn't think up a decent design, which I think is a worse offense. I think JP was toally robbed from a top three placing. His look ROCKED and was also a total incorporation of his design style. Daniella's look was god awful. I think this is the first time a top look has completely puzzled me. I just couldn't imagine anyone wanting to wear that. Even if something is not my personal style I can still admire the design, but Daniella's look was just unflaterring all around. The j.ack.et's bunching near the waist was hideous and unflattering on a size 0 model. I can't even imagine what it would look like on someone slightly larger. And those pants looked so 70's retro tacky. Just eww. Anna's dress was a total rip off of Luanne, Project Runway's last season winner, except Luanne does it better and more dramatic. The ja.cket could've worked with the dress had the fabric been of a different material maybe and the sleeves shortened.

AND I think Angel was robbed a few weeks back. So there. You don't need to study great actors to BE an actor, but it sure as hell helps, and I bet all great actors would agree. As a nurse, I sure as hell don't emulate Florence Nightengale, but I KNOW where my profession came from and how it evolved into what it is today because in one's profession it is important to know where you came from and why you do what you do today and not do it another way. So, Reco designs all these clothes from influences he sees in modern clothing etc. not realizing that modern clothes were inspired by past designs. Also, HE WANTED TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE DRESS. Not only does he not know the history of design, he doesn't know basic color theory either!

Marlon Brando was a great actor. Brad Pitt, no. DeNiro, Pacino, Nicholson are great actors. Again, Pitt, no. Actors don't study other actors; they study techniques and methods (i.e. method acting). And it would be more beneficial as an actor to know playwrights as opposed to actual actors. Great acting isn't impersonation. Reco obviously knows his aesthetic is influenced by past designers. Just because he doesn't know one designer does not mean he doesn't know the entire history of design or basic color theory. Unlike almost everyone left, Reco loves color.

They made such a HUGE fucking deal out of not knowing what B-girl fashion was, and then barely mentioned Reko not knowing one of the best designers ever. It was Chanel and I think it should have won, but Johnny's Versace is the easiest to mass produce. Hate on Daniella's all you want, but it was Dior. I didn't like it, but all of the top 3 understood the challenge. Unlike.....Reco. How can a gay man not know Halston? Haven lost because of really poor execution. She should have just gone with a tuxedo. Remember YSL also put that bitch on Canadian PR in the bottom. He is the kiss of death. Loved Merlin's dress. For not knowing Gres, he sure did get it right. JP's very wearable and Pucciesque.

The way Daniella cut the suit j.acket was just all wrong. The bottom length was too short. The tiers were too modest. It didn't play with proportion the right way. I liked her use of color, but she could've gone further. But those pants were hideous!

The look Daniella was given was the real Dior's New Look. Daniella modernized it with pants instead of the full skirt. But the basic element, jack.....et and bottoms with interesting collar treatment is there, along with the color, which is one that he used. I respectfully say "bitch please" I know designers.

So glad that Reco was spared. Not knowing history of designers is probably not a good thing if you are wanting to be truly successful in fashion, but I am rooting for Reco as the uneducated underdog and proves that graduating from an elite design school doesn't guarantee you will actually be a good fashion designer (as this season has proved time and again). JP really was robbed. I was so impressed by his Pucci-inspired frock. My top 3: 1. JP 2. Johnny 3. Merlin My bottom 3: 5. Anna (Sorry, but that j.acket was hideous and OLD. Bleh) 6. Daniella 7. Haven
