Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel.

Those of us who suffered through AI2 Billy Joel week remember And So It Goats. He's got the piano tonight, trying to confuse us. And right out the box, a screechy out of tune high note that was oversung. Then he understates the next line and brings it a little closer to the dynamics we've come to expect from this song. Although, I think he oversang the title line. He should either choose to go for the sweet stuff or the shouty stuff, because bouncing back and forth is hurting my ears. Not kidding, either. And talk about Anoop's faces? I know Scott lacks the self-awareness of how he looks, but it's hard to match an off-putting shouty vocal with a bug-eyed look that goes with it.

Kara: I think you made some smart decisions, picking that song, Billy Joel, singer songwriter, stripping it down, just singing it for the audience, which is what you really do well. And I love the n ew look!

Poler: Of all the contestants that have graced the stage, I'm most proud of you. It has nothing to do about your challenge but everything that makes me forget about that challenge. Must be a thrill for you to sing one of your Idols. Must have been a risk to sing without the orchestra, which made it more of a legato performance. (Shouty =/= legato, Poler.)
Simon: Your best performance by a country mile! A different Scott! The Ryan Seacrest hair! Glad you didn't listen to Madam's advice about not playing the piano. Rewind the tape!
