So you would be happy to watch a Race where people can tamper with all the equipment and cheat their way to the end rather than watch a true, honest Race in which the other Teams made it to the end fair and square? Maybe there should be more driving legs to decrease the risk of the Race being decided on by a crappy taxi driver, but there has to be rules for any competition.

I think that holds true for the second penalty, for having the taxi driver show them the way since that's not the point of the task, but moving the pumps inside the box wasn't exactly something completely devastating or even out of bounds, in my opinion. The pumps were still there, if the other teams had looked around or at least noticed that they needed them, they would have found a way around it.

I see your point. It shouldn't have necessarily been that big of a deal to penalize Mark & Mike for pumps, especially since they didn't destroy them or throw them in the bushes to get rid of them entirely. But I'm sure in the clue they were given they were told to not fuck around with the pumps, but they did it anyway by placing everything in the box. It might not have screwed any Team over (we saw clearly saw a deflated tire on Tammy & Victor's rickshaw, but they didn't do anything about it, nor do we know about Cara & Jaime and Margie & Like), but they did break a rule, and they were punished.
