I believe the boots are genuine - at least, usually - but I no longer put any credence in the Bottom Three. They accidentally revealed their hand last year.
At Final Three, they told us that all three of the contestants had at one time been the top vote-getter of a night. We found out that Syesha won Neil Diamond
night - but on that evening, they made her stand next to Brooke to hide the fact that Jason was in the Bottom Two after Paulagate. She won the night, but was
put in the bottom two to hide the producer's misdeeds and get attention off Jason.
Matt was not bottom two tonight. Megan was. For whatever reason, they chose to make the audience think he was more vulnerable than she was. Either that, or they are trying to discredit DialIdol - which was the first resource to tell us Syesha won Neil Diamond Night. |

As for Dial Idol though I doubt TPTB care about it and I don't think it is to be taken as gospel. Nothing is perfect and there are always text votes to factor in and margin of error. |

Any list of the all-time worst finalists ever HAS TO include Corey Clark and Mantasia Barfino. Anybody who likes them as anything other than trainwrecks needs
to have their hearing (or head) examined. Others on my list are Chris Richardson, Jon Peter Lewis, Kevin Covais, Mikelah Gordon and, from this season, Megan
Joy Corkrey (and this season will certainly have a goodly number of others on the all-time worst list before it's done!). And nobody has mentioned
Caaaaaaarmen, Jim Verraros, the gay J's, or the many dubious 3rd season "singers:" John Stevenzzz, Camile, Leah, Jasmine, etc. Michael Sarver is
certainly a mediocre singer, but he's no worse than, say, Matt Rogers; he might barely make my all-time bottom 10 list, but is certainly not one of the 5
worst ever.
I thought the bottom 3 this week would have been perfect, IF Megan had been eliminated last week. I know she's the only white girl left, but just how badly does she have to sing to at least get into the bottom 3?? |

I honestly can't see Megan having a significant portion of the text votes. It flys in the face of what she's presented and all online indicators. A
simpler explanation is that they've set her up to go down easy next week.

A simpler explanation is that they've set her up to go down easy next week.I don't see why they'd be setting her up to go home when there's only 3 girls left, they actually like her and they still have dead weight in the male department they can stand to lose, ie Scott. |

Megan will probably be around for a while because she's the only hot chick and it's a mediocre season in general. The guys other than Adam and Gokey
are going to split votes from week to week. And although last night's performance was painful, she does have a decent jazzy voice and it's a pleasant
change from the typical growling and caterwauling.

Not a Piaf fan, I'm guessing.
Not saying she's another Billie Holiday, but she does have a unique type of jazz singing and phrasing that some people don't like, particularly if they're accustomed to the standard female pop voice of today. |
