I'm glad I wasn't the only one pissed at the camera and sound guys. Somewhat ruined by the previews that showed Cooper is fine and has a bandaid on his neck. Poor Sammy and Ben! Their bromance is hitting it's first rough patch!!! So sad. Yeah, you could tell things were going to go bad- but I thought it would be their chumminess leading them to have a case just go south really badly - but their personal relationship going south feels very, very true to life.

I love the relationship between Tang and Cooper - I know Lucy Liu is scheduled for one season, but I hope they bring her back. My gut feeling is that they will kill her off at the end of the season. I hope not. And the writing is so strong - the entire audience thought that Sammy had planted that crack pipe. I was a little disappointed in myself when I found out that I had misjudged him. Has this been picked up for another season yet?

I thought that little kid wrapped in bandages from head to toe was pretty fucking heartbreaking. And when Lydia walked away from her job at the end, that was also pretty sad for her. I hope this comes back for another season.

Liu was great but I think she had a perfect story arc and they should leave it. I hate series that bring back characters that should have moved on.
