Great job by all the PBPers. Great show for us selfish ones that just watched in on the ol T.V. I was completely caught off guard by the Carolina boot. I so
thought it would be Sandy if her tribe lost the challenge or Candace if her tribe lost. Crazy fun intro. Should be a fun season if this shakes down in a
logical way.

Re-watching and noticed that Ben made an alliance of some sort with a some what reluctant Branden! Not sure if it was typed earlier....
Glad Sierra didn't get in trouble. I didn't want to like her, but she did work to change the first impression. Let's hope she will have a chance. Ben(the self-appointed leader?) said even though she's done so much work it doesn't change the fact how every one else had bounded during that trek. BTW, how did it take so long for the Timbbra(sp?) to get there? Did Ben not know how to read the compass or did he take too much time making connections or spreading his philosophy? I still like to watch him more than some others, but he needs to get a clue as well! (As Branden said, marking himself so early! What the hay?) Also, Sandy was so loud with her confession, why didn't she worry about being heard?? JT the big outdoor guy carried one freaking watermelon and his own canteen for the trek! He's so wonderfully strong, yeah.

Strep Throat my ass | ||

If Sierra really got Strep, she would be contagious .

I thought she said she had tonsilitus

If she truly had strep, they would not have let her go on the show, unless..... 1. She had been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours, with good response, and would continue those antibiotics for at least another week; or 2. They had absolutely run out of replacement players and were desperate enough to risk a lawsuit and contagion of the other players. If they let players take antibiotics Jonathan Penner would never have had to leave.. MOO |

Even a Z pack (Azithromycin) needs to be taken for 5 days...and she was still complaining of a sore throat and fever at the start; so whatever she took, if
anything, was not working yet.
Strep throat is potentially very dangerous...I doubt they would let her play if it was REALLY strep. if they did, they were a bit foolhardy. More than a bit, actually, with all the utensil sharing they do and lack of cleanliness |

Sierra was probably just told that, Strep was a possibility.
You know it takes a while for the lab to confirm it from her mucus swap. And they were most likely out there far from a city with a speedy Lab. I think she had a cold and was playing it up. Deb and Taj(even though she's not in the same tribe) did look sorry to learn about her sickness. |

I tend to agree that she was just being a bit dramatic...if she knew it was strep she would NOT be there...

She said she had been on antibiotics for 3 days, so if they had her on the 5 day stuff they may have just let her play and given her the meds anyway.

But that would mean she was contagious when she got to pre-show Ponderosa, so she would have already infected all the other contestants and a good bit of the
crew.
Typhoid Sierra ftw |

If she had been on antibiotics for 3 days and still had a sore throat and 102 degree fever then she was on the wrong antibiotics.
She would still be infectious and should not have been allowed to play. I tend to think she was "stretching" the facts a bit...like maybe she HAD had a fever a few days ago.... The Survivor production is very aware of liability issues...she would have been out |
