This thread is for the casual viewer of American Idol, Season 8. If the mods allow it, it would be nice to have a thread for those of us who do not wish to visit the AI forum and wade through contestant threads, spoiler threads, play-by-play threads, etc... Does anyone else think this is a good idea? Edited to change thread title.

I do! And I'll start by saying I really love the guy who lost his wife (sad story) His voice is my fav. so far! I don't remember his name. I cannot
stand the A.I. threads...too much to slog through, I agree. Good idea Carboy and I hope it 'sticks'.

I do too! While I adore alot of the posters in the AI forum, it can be a bit much to wade through. I love the Play By Play thread though!
That said... Tatiana. Muzzle. Now. 
I figure they let her through for drama purposes, but I can't help but think they're expecting a hot tranny mess of a crash and burn to occur, ya
know? |

I concur! I never really watched AI, then started to watch the last few eps last season, liked David Cook, ended up actually voting for him during the final
vote, because I couldn't believe how Simon dissed him. I did go on the AI forum then. I've actually been kinda watching the current season, because I
been home lots lately, but I do find the AI forum a bit overwhelming, what with trying to keep on on other threads on this forum, and then we have Survivor and
TAR coming up....so yeah, I'd love a AI thread here for the casual viewer.

The AI forum is becoming way too "scene" for me you almost have to have an encyclopedic knowledge of AI to post there and people getting hate and love threads before the actual show? Sad. If you are going to make a thread casual for AI you should also make one for Big Brother. For some reason I never have trouble keeping up with Survivor Sucks though. |

I think the thread is a good idea. The season hasn't really even got going yet. As long as you know that Danny Gokey murdered his wife, you're pretty

The problem is that some of us don't want to "get used to" a board that takes way to much time. I started posting on the AI threads when they took over OSTS in the first season. The main board gets too specific. |

Great idea! I only like to wade through the AI forum for the photochops and occasional dissing session, but this is a much better place for me.
Tatiana is shrill and annoying, but I"m glad she made it through for drama purposes. I like the guy who lost his wife. I also like the guy with the broadway voice- first one they put through yesterday and the chick with the long blonde/red streaked hair who Simon didn't want to put through because the other bland blonde was prettier. |

all i gotta say (for now) is thank God for dvr......esp for last night....i was able to watch the 2hr show in about 20 mins-once the b.s. was skipped over.
this looks like it could be best season yet.... get to the REAL competition already. |
