JALAPAO TRIBE:
CAROLINA EASTWOOD
26, Bartender
Carolina is basically following in the same footsteps as Paloma from the last season. I made the mistake last season of thinking that G.C. and Dreamz, despite extreme similarities, would be different, and I'm not willing to make a similar mistake this time around. The one benefit Carolina has is that unlike Paloma, there's plenty of weak links on her tribe who could take the fall instead at the first tribal council.
JOE DOWDLE
26, Real Estate Sales
Joe seems like he's pretty much the only player on this tribe that could really emerge as a power-player. He seems like the biggest asset the tribe has, so the biggest thing he needs to worry about is the fact that his tribe just seems so bad that they'll never be able to gain a majority by the merge.
JAMES "JT" THOMAS JR.
24, Cattle Rancher
Of the guys on the tribe, I think JT is gonna be the most likable and the most likely to last deep into the merge. He's just got that strong, yet pudgy body that makes him lovable and non-threatening. Plus, he's got the life experience of running his own ranch could make him mature enough to make decisions in the game. In addition to that, the redneck angle works great at making people underestimate a person as a player.
SANDY BURGIN
53, School Bus Driver
Sandy has a chance on this tribe due to the fact that she's a Southern mom and the two strongest men on the tribe are Southerners, which means that they could have Colby-esque feelings towards Sandy. Add to that the fact that her tribe has a lot of potentially weak players as easy boots, and Sandy actually stands a chance at survival on Jalapao.
SPENCER DUHM
19, Student
I'm sorry, but I think Spencer is just too young for this game, and even if he's an amazing superfan, so was Erik, and Erik was fucking retarded when it came to actually playing the game. I just think that being as young as he is will be a big disadvantage, especially since, unlike Todd, his initial tribe isn't set up to benefit him in the long run.
STEPHEN FISHBACH
29, Corporate Consultant
This guy is just so awkward and dorky that I honestly cannot see him lasting long for this game. He's on a tribe of mainly Southerners and cute girls, so he's gonna have a hard time fitting in if he manages to fit in at all. He seems like the kind of guy who would try to strategize a lot early on without having formed the necessary relationships to do so, only to get booted first.
SYDNEY WHEELER
24, Model
As boring as she may be, barring a tribe swap, attractive, young girls have a remarkable tendency to do well in Survivor because they rarely take the lead in terms of strategizing. Again, I'm not going to make the same mistake as in China and Gabon where I completely underestimated the blonde model. Sydney stands a good chance at survival, especially since she's more than likely to get in good with the two major males on her tribe.
TAMARA "TAJ" JOHNSON-GEORGE
37, Former Pop Star
Taj is another of those players that I think will fall by the wayside early on. She's got the same older woman body-type as Sandy, but unlike Sandy, she's not the kind of Southern mom that guys like Joe and JT can relate to. Furthermore, her departure will be expedited given that she and Sandy will basically be competing for the same spot in the tribe, and competition like that needs to be eliminated early on.
TIMBIRA TRIBE:
BENJAMIN "COACH" WADE
37, Soccer Coach
Ben is definitely a physical threat to be reckoned with. I mean, he's got some seriously impressive credentials, and aside from anyone but Jerry, I'd say he's the best-suited to survive out in the wild, but his attitude towards the game is a bit off. I mean, like it or not, the weaker players will eventually get power, and if he's arrogant and goes out of his way to force an attitude on people that would really only benefit him, then he could get himself booted.
BRENDAN SYNNOTT
30, Entrepreneur
Brendan's got a good head on his shoulders and he already knows he can make a million dollars, so basically, the sole purpose of him going on Survivor is for the challenge. As a result, I could see him doing well and not going out of his way to try and scheme and make himself appear better in the eyes of the jury, and that's what he's going to need. His only drawback is that people will want him gone if they find out about his financial status.
CANDACE SMITH
31, Attorney
In a relatively young cast like this, I think Candace's attractiveness is going to be to her advantage because there's no question that she's one of the most attractive women in many seasons. She's got that same attitude we've seen in many other black women in recent years, but I think that it's that attitude that could get her in good with some of the more villainous guys on the tribe.
DEBRA "DEBBIE" BEEBEE
46, Middle School Principal
Debbie's gonna be one of those hit or miss players. I mean, she seems young enough, both in body and spirit, to fit in with her tribe, but if they just pick her as the old lady that needs to go early, then there's not much she can do about that. Furthermore, some people could really get irritated if she tries to play up this fun-loving attitude and doesn't seem to act her age. Like I said, hit or miss.
ERINN LOBDELL
26, Hairstylist
I made a mistake last season of thinking that Michelle, due to her Amanda-esque idiocy. Honestly, Erinn strikes me as another Michelle, and when you say people will underestimate you because they'll think you're dumb, that's USUALLY because you ARE dumb. She'll probably be obnoxious and boring.
JERRY SIMS
49, Sergeant - U.S. Army
Jerry's gonna be the guy that everyone loves in this season due to his military experience and general charming personality. He's a physically fit guy, but not too imposing so as to put a big target on his back. He's probably going to have no trouble getting into a good alliance, but he'll probably wind up in the Yau-Man spot where no one wants him even remotely close to the endgame.
SIERRA REED
23, Model
Much like with Sydney, I'm not going to underestimate Sierra. However, by this point in time, I think the Courtney effect will probably have worn off, and Sierra will be viewed as an early liability, especially with some of the men she got landed with. I think Sierra is most likely to get booted early from Timbira, but anything is possible.
TYSON APOSTOL
29, Professional Cyclist
As much as I hate the guy, if he's willing to go the villain route, that means he's probably going to do well in this game. He's a physical threat, but he can easily hide behind some of the other guys in the game, and he's also already got a mindset going of flirting as a strictly business affair. The only thing that concerns me is that he's highly likely to get TOO arrogant and dig himself a hole he can't get out of.
