Ahhhh, so manipulation for tension between Stephen and JT. All the more reason that those two are the final two. cl, I haven't seen manipulated tension between them. In fact, up to now they have been shown just as JT sees it: like two peas in a pod. Brothers in arms and all that. What I have heard in their confessionals (since before the merge) is the schism between how they talk about their game. But, there's been no clash expressed between them ever. Even Stephen's statement this time is directed at Coach. All the pieces are there for JT to be surprised that Stephen doesn't think exactly like him. I can also understand the editing logic that suggests an F2 of JT and Stephen. scep, I see the editing logic as Stephen choosing to cut JT loose before the f-2. Why should SEG be trying to make the final vote so important? They will if it's there, but if not, they'll play for the best tv drama. If on Sunday Stephen and JT have a big split before the f-2, that's great tv and you've got your audience already planning to watch the Finale. I say the edit has set up a Stephen blindside of JT. We'll see. |

flf, I can see that. However, I'm going out on a limb and say the editing is going to set up Stephen ATTEMPTING to take out JT. If there is a blindside
between them, I'd actually lean more on JT taking out Stephen based on something he heard. I think the editing has gone out of their way to make JT seem
naive with room for wising up as the shocker. And too much manipulation of JT facing the jury -he has the most connections made. Brendan and Coach come to
mind.
I'm looking for any type of Neleh moments with the others to pull some tension for the final two person to face a jury. |

I'm, expecting a Stephen\ERINN F2 even more strongly after that episode
Overconfident Quotes: JT to Stephen - "We got it" JT - "Erinn hurt herself, not me" Taj confessional - sure that she and the Jollyboys will be F3 Coach before TC - confident he will be the last Timbira Erinn at TC is the exception, the only one feeling insecure Noteworthy omission Not a single scene of Stephen with Taj or Erinn. Again, why hide their relationship so throughly if JT and Stephen are F2, when it could create doubt? Unless editing are so hung up on Coach they are forgetting the finale. Turtle and Frog Erinn and Taj got turtle and frog symolism in their pond scene, contrasting with Coach's bird of prey. One of the slow and steady turtles will be F2, and perhaps Erinn will leapfrog a couple Jollypals, lol. Tone - editing didn't take sides. I had Coach is OTTM5 and everyone else as neutral. Coach wasn't mean, just delusional. However, if Erinn is N why not Taj and JT also? Taj was even more hardcore anti-Coach in the pond scene, which Erinn felt bad and Taj basically said "don't feel bad, he's a jerk." Taj was shown smiling\laughing at Coach's words throughout the episode as much as Erinn and Sierra. (Obviously ALL the women have a different take on Coach than the guys). JT siding was Coach was unsupported by editing. He came across a bit misogynistic and out of touch with the women. It was hard for him to exile a guy over a girl to start with. And JT wanted to bring Coach to F3, which means keeping him over Taj. Stephen agreeing about Erinn didn't go much beyond: "Erinn shouldn't have said anything, it was a strategic mistake." Of course he agrees with JT, because he wants JT to hate Erinn in case he wins ICs. Stephen also wants to face beatable people in the finals, so the more Erinn pisses off Coach, the better a F2 partner she is.

The editing has been telling us that the concept of battling it out with an honorable opponent is a recipe for failure.
I think I'm as sure that JT and Stephen don't make F2 together as I was that Kenny wouldn't win last season. |

craig, my friend, I'm suspecting that's a typo or else hell has frozen over. The editing has been telling us that the concept of battling it out with an honorable opponent is a recipe for failure. oh. that is one way of looking at it. and it's a good point. but it could also be the Coach got his wish -just didn't include him. |

Unless editing are so hung up on Coach they are forgetting the finale. Which is always a possibility after the ridiculous editing last season. At least he's not in the finale. |

Yes, Stephen vs Erinn. Or at least Stephen vs notJT.

He just has a good ole boy "bros before hos" sensibility and thinks Stephen is the same. JT is Big Tom Jr. Alliance with guys from different walks of life, talking about outscheming Lex etc, but ultimately pwned by Kim J because he alienated her. If JT was suspicious of Stephen he should have been cultivating the frienship of the Women in F4. Instead, Stephen has the edge, and JT's fans (Coach and Debbie) are gone. If JT sweeps ICs - he doesn't need to wise up. If he loses ICs - he's toast.

Remember the look of incredulity when JT told him Brendan wanted to take him to the finals? It's like he's been looking at what the others are doing, shaking his head, and repeating over and over "This is Survivor - I'm doing what's best for me.' No-one else has been doing that. Even Erinnnnnn has been doing it more than JT. The way issues of trust have been handled is also, more than likely, leading to a pay-off with a betrayal. I can see what you've been saying about JT having the greater number of jury ties but this doesn't appear to be a bitter jury. It'll probably be a love-fest where references to previous personal conflicts won't be as important as in other seasons. We shall see. |
