Superbowl vs. Survivor preview?

Ok I'm going to stop talking spoilers since this is about the tv guide preview and if you didn't want to know you shouldn't be reading this or
viewing the tv guide preview:
I wonder if there are four HIIs? Because that's ridiculous. I know there's at least one at each camp, but there's also the chance for the person who is "voted off" from each tribe to find one at their camps before the others even get there. So are there two at each camp? Or if the "voted off" person finds one at their camp, is that it? It will be interesting to see if anyone tries to mutiny just to get both HII's and then mutiny back to their original team. I wonder if any alliance would be ballsy enough to try that. |

They should just give every player a hidden immunity idol next season.
I think the egg twist will fall flat. The exiled players will just share the clues regardless. |

Katy, the voted off player will probably just be told that there is an idol at the camp, but they won't get a clue.

No way there's more than one at each camp--if one of the "voted off" players finds it on day 1, they'll have it and that's that. Just like when the idols are found in any season, the clues keep coming even if they won't lead to anything anymore. What's intriguing about the mutiny is if someone finds the idol at their own camp and decides to go over for the other one, since presumably the clues should work for both camps. I'm not too worried about the twists. Fiji would have been a dud with or without twists and Pearl Islands would have been awesome no matter what. It's all on the cast's shoulders at this point. |

I have mixed thoughts on all of this. Here are a couple of things without spoiler tags because this all came straight from the preview....
- It sounds like there won't be an Exile Island in episode 1, so that's good. I hate when they do that in the premiere. - The opening twist is neat and I'm glad they have an actual trek to camp, like a really long one. We haven't seen a good camp hike since Guatemala. - I was so upset when I heard there was an Exile Island. Seriously, I was done with that thing after season 12 when they introduced it. I have no clue why the producers love it so much. I can take the HII's, but I can't take an Exile Island every episode. Do what they did in China, which was the kidnapping twist. It made for much more interesting television most of the time. - The good news: Two people are on EI every time, which they only did in Micronesia pre-merge (and once in the original EI season). It'll be more interesting this time because it won't be "I was such a big fan of so-and-so and now I'm on EI with them!". Hopefully they'll actually make some cross-tribal alliances or something. Also, the HII is at the camp, not at EI, meaning we won't see endless footage of people searching for the idol. And the mutiny aspect....could be fun if people actually do it once in awhile. Let's not pull a Pirate Master folks. - Everytime anyone talks about the cast, whether it's Probst (before and after the game) or someone else, they have very positive things to say, so despite the twists I think the cast will be a pretty good one. |

I watched this last nite.. crazy! I think its going to be an exciting season, especially with all these new twists.
However, WHY do these girls keep wearing dresses to Survivor?? Dont they know how this show works by now? |

I really don't expect to see many mutinies this season, but even if it happens just once, I'll be happy with the idea. I do like sending multiple
people to Exile Island and I hope some interesting things come of the egg twist.
The opening twist, I'm not especially fond of. Just don't see the point. |
