You know what's funny? At the peak of her modeling career, Tyra Banks was a supermodel in relation to other models, but from what I remember she wasn't among the Super Six, or even in their orbit. The Super Six were Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington. I barely remember Tyra from around that time, with the exception of her appearance in George Michael's "Too Funky" appearance. It's ironic that Tyra would experience her biggest success when her modeling career was ENDING, as opposed to just starting. Perhaps had any of the Super Six created the Top Model franchise, they would have been taken more seriously. But nowadays Naomi's beating people up, Cindy's hawking French melon-based skin rejuvenating serum, Kate is on drugs, Claudia's married to some British dude with kids, and Christy is married to Ed Burns. I heard that Linda's making a comeback of sorts, though. I would rather take any of the Super Six's advice on modeling any day over someone who only made the A-list with her goddamn television shows.
