OK. The big event for me today. My first ever David Cook concert.

Should report back hopefully later this week, but in next few days, should have pictures of this concert. It's at the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis today.

(Also, reports are that David...is to be on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show tomorrow morning.)

Yes, I'm home from the concert (at the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis). Insomnia girl here. Brief synopsis

Went with sis, who sat at the tables mid-venue with a few of her old high school friends (fiance was too sick to go). Her remarks: great voice!! Style of music wasn't her style (last year was a Michael Johns and Carly Smithson fan, but became a David Cook fan after they were booted).

Myself, I braved it and stood the entire concert. Was in front of the speakers (yes, I can still hear after that), 3rd row, Andy's side. David floved that side of the stage tonight. Hopefully, you'll see some pictures -- slew of people took pictures on their cell phone and cameras from where I was.

First off...count me as impressed with Green River Ordinance (DWEEB's opening act). Another good choice, I may say. Not quite as interesting as Ryan Star yet, but seeing it was their first show with DWEEB, I may say they make catch on later down the line.

Today, it was unseasonably cool, hence the most likely reason why the beanie came back.

Joey...was ON tonight!!! Top of the amp, kicks, the works.

Course, being a Word Hero that I am, Andy is...still very much a great musician. ;-)

During the "David Enchilada" banter (if I can find video of that, I'll resend it), "for the first time in 85 shows," Kyle gave a drum riff. (Unfortunately, from my vantage point, I couldn't SEE Kyle all night.) :-(

Ohh...David tossed a pick to some guy in a tie in the audience, and Kyle did a drum roll. Guy supposedly caught it; David took a bow.

No guitar sex during BBS. Had a very good vantage point when Neil played Andy's guitar during DIYAT.

My high point, musically, this evening? A capella portion of Lie.

Crowd was IN IT also. Acknowledged that, as soon as we got started, it was the LOUDEST crowd so far on tewer.

Was soooo CLOSE to getting one of David's guitar picks, but the person just behind me got one.

Did NOT stay afterwards to see what happened at the buses, since it was dark and a very long drive home back to Terre Haute.

Most of my pictures didn't turn out; those that did make for good action shots. Might post those later tomorrow.

I think that's it for now. Need to get some much needed sleep. May answers questions later.

This is my first post but I've lurked here for years. I'm a HUGE Cooktard and drove up from Nashville to attend the show last night since for some reason, musicians I love never seem to play in Music City when they're on tour!

I've uploaded all my photos from the show to Photobucket and thought I would share with some fellow Cook fans. I was lucky enough to snag a spot in the first row, which totally made up for the looong drive and standing in the rain! I hope this link works....let me know if it doesn't. The show was incredible and I thought I was going to lose it when he busted out with the a capella Lie, my fav song on the album.

First off, welcome to the David Cook thread here at Sucks. (Must've been close to me at Indy [I was 3rd row, next to speakers on Andy's side; surprisely, I can still hear after the concert.]) If it's OK with you, can I post those pictures you put on here on some of my other Cook-related websites I frequent? ALL = anyway, a few more things:
1. David posted another blog entry yesterday. This one would be for those that have twitter:

Tweet "David Cook" for AOL Radio!
Tomorrow July 21st from 12pm ET to 7pm ET, AOL Radio will be allowing fans to request their favorite songs using Twitter to be played on the AOL "All Request" radio station. This is a great chance for us to get David Cook in the line-up!! All you have to do is tweet "David Cook, Your Favorite David Cook Song, #aolradiorequest". The station will launch at midnight, July 22nd on http://www.aolradio.com and if the song is in their library, they will play ALL requests! Set your reminders tomorrow and start tweeting for David! One of the highlights from Indy was his interaction with a 3-year-old (so much so, during one of the banters, David threw him one of his picks; wish there was video of THAT). Apparently, that 3-year-old got to meet David at�the post-concert�meet-and-greet. Here's video of THAT.

Soo...earlier today, I mentioned that AOL Radio had their 2nd "Twitter Request Day". From 12-7p.m. ET one can request any songs to be played on a special all-request station (that's only to air for the next week, starting at midnight). Station can be found here.

How well did David Cook do? In no particular order:

#1 was Come Back To Me
#6 was Permanent
#7 was Bar-ba-sol

...and, per the host of the station, the rest of David Cook (the record) was put into the "Medium" airplay category, since they could only play a certain # of songs of one artist per hour.

Just want to let you know about this internet radio station that ANYONE can listen to for the next week. Please note how many songs of David's made the top 10. There would've been more...had AOL Radio stated that...well...I'll let "TC" (the DJ of the All Request station) tell you:

Since we're only allowed to play the same artist a certain # of times, I cannot add anymore David Cook songs to the "Heavy" category...The rest of his songs will be put in the Medium category.

Apparently, Billie Jean and DCTR (except for Kiss on the Neck and Breathe Tonight; no hidden or bonus tracks allowed) was being requested yesterday. Would've...probably been an all-David Cook Top 10.
