Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., said he believes the technology exists to implement a mileage tax. He said he sees no point in waiting years for the results of pilot programs since such a tax system is inevitable as federal gasoline tax revenues decline. When you look at the WaPo's breakdown of party line voting of the previous congress, the senate Dems are far, far, far more partisan than the Pubs are... Of the top 33 most partisan senators, 31 were Dems, 1 is Ind... and the lone Pub comes in at 33. Of the 33 least partisan senators, 28 were Pubs. So, where is the lamenting of the press for the dwindling number of moderate Dems?

If you want to go more extremist or stay that extremist, that's fine. I mean, you ruined our economy, our foreign relations, our infrastructure, stripped our liberties, and were incredibly bigotted and immoral while doing so, so you won't get your hands back on the wheel for a long time. He ordered a probe and apologized. The cost of the frivolous flight was about $60,000 an hour and that was just for Air Force One. That doesn't include the cost of the two F-16s that came along. So that explains it. Obama was just trying to upgrade his gifts to foreign heads of state from cheap DVDs and videos of his own speeches. What better than spending tens of thousands of dollars to get some photos of Air Force One you can paste on some fine Mahogany or other tropically harvested rain forest wood and give to the world leader of your choice!
