Notice the language. If they "vote somebody out of each tribe" that person will presumably no longer be in the tribe. That makes it more likely they'll switch rather than simply being protected and advantaged and sent back, but I always assumed that.

I bloody well hope not. The "won't make the journey" line freaks me out too but the best reading I've come up with for that (other than just dismissing it as inaccurate) is in reference to the opening of Survivor: Guatemala. (Or Vanuatu, Africa, the Marquesas or any number of other seasons.) Everyone else could go on a long, exhausting journey through the desert in the hottest part of the day while the two people supposedly voted off got in a truck and drove off. Jeff could even make the others think those two HAD been voted off. It wouldn't be an unfair advantage per se since the outcasts would miss out on the opportunity to bond and form early alliances, which I think the show would actually like because instead of the two people who didn't fit in being voted off right away they'd be protected by immunity and go on to create conflict for at least a couple of weeks. Maybe by that time the outcasts would even prove their worth so the show could get the line it obviously wanted all along: "You know, it really makes you think about the fact that we make assumptions about people based on appearences all the time. But sometimes you shouldn't be so quick to judge a book by its cover because people might surprise you."

Anyway, however you want to read the semmantics of the clue I think the fact that we have footage of all sixteen of these people competing in the immunity challenge pretty much wins the debate (and I'm assuming if it hasn't been done yet that vidcap analysis of the challenge would demonstrate if the two outcasts do indeed switch tribes and, if so, which two they are.) Sandy seems pretty obvious and hard to get around (and Jeff even has some fun with saying so - saying there's no two ways around it, she would be voted off first.) The other one is more debatable but my guess would be Debbie. The young jocks may vote her off because they see her as weak, while I don't think the older people will vote to protect her in this case. Ben's an arrogant super jock himself and will probably be even less charitable than some of the kids to some skinny older woman. Besides, he coaches jocky younger women for a living so he'll want to keep them around. Erinn especially seems like his type.
