I started watching at the merge episode in Australia because a friend of mine watched, and fell in love immediately. Looking back on it, Australia was a really
boring, predictable season to start with. Africa really sealed the deal with it for me, though. I didn't watch the second half of ASS (hated Boston Rob in
Marquesas, hated him in ASS, it was really painful watching him smoke everybody), and I stopped watching for a bit after the first half of CI (another painful
season to watch, the characters were all so terrible and it was so obvious that Yul would win). I started watching again at Gabon, and I went back and watched
Fiji (I don't know why, I was sick for a day and I just burned through it) and China (which made me fall in love with the show again).

Season one when Dr. Sean was voted off. I was doing laundry in a laundry mat, and was intrigued by the show. Missed a few episodes from that season post
Kennif, but was hooked on S2.

My grandma told me a new show was on where people live on an island and could possibly die. Then they get voted out and the person walks across a bridge and
leaves to live in the wilderness alone. She taped it and gave me a copy where I saw Sonya go into the jungle alone, BB die from heat stroke, Dirk fucking Kelly
while preaching about Jesus, Ramona turning a donkey wheel and Richard telling Sue about the underwater hatch that makes the island disappear.
I never looked back. |

I can't believe I typed Africa instead of Australia. Must have been imbibing at the time. Yes, I realize this is Sucks and we can say FUCK, but thought a
thread title probably shouldn't include it. Guess I was wrong. Although the Kimmi/Jerri stuff was what got me started, Africa was pretty damned cool as
well. By far the hardest and most dangerous season. The rest have all been cake by comparison.
