It's like she tries so hard and thinks she's hilarious and then...something just doesn't connect. At least psychotic Shangela could be counted on to bring the funny in performance when called for. Those audition videos were funny though - "Ack! How can I see myself in the mirror when I'm dead?" or something like that and the still before you even play the Kenya one is the funniest part - all you see are the words "Kenya Audition Tape" and can only see the very top of a head and a raised arm like she's too short to even come within camera range.
