nomii wrote: No, thank heaven. I actually tried to get tickets, but couldn't find any for a reasonable price, and now I am so glad. Although I would like to be there for Holmgren's final home game. But it sounds like the weather is just going to be too awful. That Monday night game a few years ago was nothing short of disaster. It took some people 6 hrs to get home cause the roads were a sheet of ice. |

I cant believe I missed the home town thread. I been busy making sure all is ready for tonight. I hope it's not as bad as we are planning for.
I have worked everyday because it's part of my job to be ready. Got a new snow rig from work 2 weeks ago and it's the best snow ice vehicle I have had for work. Good luck everyone I'll do my best to keep you warm. |

Bone...do you work for a power company? I can't believe what those people have to go through. Yuck.
Do you get to drive your work car for personal use? That would be awesome. We have pretty much just parked our Prius; it's worthless in the snow and ice. So I'm back to driving our minivan, but it has front wheel drive and does actually amazing in the snow. |

Yes I drive my work rig everyday. I am on call 24/7 so I have to be available. I'm not one of the hero's though, but I support them

Put the Canyon Park area of Bothell on the top of your "Power Restore" priority, ok?

It's a major priority as of now. If you get power back first you have to show me your tits though.

I don't think anyone has ever talked to Quaff like that.
Maybe she passed out because of embarrassment. |

Portland has gotten 6 inches of snow so far today. That's the biggest one day total I've seen in 20 years.
Not a snow plow or sanding truck in sight. I fear for the forthcoming freezing rain and days that follow. Well, off to the mall ... |

Downtown?
Washington Square?
Or Lloyd Center?

Which mall?
Lloyd Center -- 4 shopping days until Christmas and 1/3 of the stores closed at 6 PM due to snow (presumably to let employees get home safely). The mall was less 3/4 closed by 8 PM. I got a few gifts, some holiday cards 1/2 off, and a book for myself. And I saw not one, but two, fabled snow plows on N.E. Weidler -- one of the flattest, widest streets and least needing to be plowed. |

And I saw not one, but two, fabled snow plows on N.E. Weidler -- one of the flattest, widest streets and least needing to be plowed.Wow, why would they plow Weidler? And I think Stumptown only has 5 plows. We have about 8" of snow and it's still snowing (in Beavertown). I can't get over how the snow is drifting. Being a native Northwesterner, I'm used to seeing snow when it's 31 degrees. When it's 17 degrees and blowing snow, I want to click my heels together and go home. Just wait until the freezing rain hits in a few hours. |

Well I'm officially snowed in now. They were diverting metro and big rigs down my street (15th Ave S), but that stopped around 3pm and I've had
nothing but snow falling since. I'm screwed if my power goes out. If it does though I'll defo show BoneS my tits to get it back.
