Why does it always snow when I have to work???? |

Jesus. It took me forever to get home from work tonight. Everyone was going 30 mph on the freeway. It was scary slippery. So my work schedule this week is
fri-sat-sun-wed-thurs. Guess which days snow is forecast? Just guess. Yep. fri-sat-sun-wed-thurs.
Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be sunny. |

Sorry about that! The ONLY reason I'm enjoying the snow is that I don't have to work. I'm kind of shocked it's snowing in December.

Man... that's quite cold for you guys there in the Seattle area! The bad thing for you is that you're not
gonna get above freezing for quite a number of days... you'll have minimal chances for melting with those temps.
Your best hope is that others who don't absolutely have to go anywhere will be staying home, and thus the roads will be more clear for you. The major thoroughfares should be made to be ice-free fairly quickly though, I'd venture to guess. |

It is snowing on the Island tonight! Yay! The city will now shut down for 3 days until it melts!

Yes because in a city comprised of hills and where there is incredibly bad public transportation options snow is quite delightful.. for those living in city
not a bad deal however some of us have to figure out how to get to places not so accessible by a single bus line or a walk down from the Gay Ghetto of Capitol
Hill.
Not a big fan of the fucking cold frankly that is what annoys.. snow is not the problem its the freezing temps that are... Of course I have no friends or we are snobs or whatever so we don't own any fugly winter shoes and no one speaks to me in the land where the Freeze is also a metaphor or whatever but yet I manage.. see its a good thing I am a shut in so I don't know about these mean unfriendly Seattle people like me and don't know the ones that are so super nice and hang out with each other... flakes aren't just for snow and denial is not just the residents of this town and it is a town.. or city-lite at least. |

It actually snowed for the first time since 88 down here Thursday morning. I was in the hospital. With our camera. I only got shitty camera phone pics of my
daughter playing in the 8 inches of snow at my house. utkyiluioiljhkgj, fhjfkyilklk

It snowed here last night! I slept through it though and I don't work weekends!
I know what you mean, I'm fine with snow when I don't have to make it in for work. I don't know why nature doesn't always go around my work schedule. |

Atypical Male wrote: Yes, I'm fortunate that I live very close to the freeway, and hopefully by the time I have to leave for work it will be taken care of. That is one of the benefits of working evening shift. But I have a view of the Bothell-Everett Hwy out my den window, and as of right now, I see almost no one driving. Good thing I didn't slide off the road on my way home last night. When I got home I found out the battery on my cell phone was totally dead. I wouldn't have even been able to call someone to come and rescue me. If it's really icy, our work will come and pick us up and drive us in. The catch, however, is they won't drive you home when your shift is over. They just tell you to find an empty bed and sleep in it. |
