I do like the guy so far who is playing the shrink at the hospital. He has a nice calming voice. All the actors in this show have done an amazing job. I am going to hate waiting so long for the next season.

I kind of discovered accidentally at my brother's house, but directly after I saw the first episode I went home and ordered Showtime and proceeded to watch every single episode. I totally agree that when the show started it was kind of a hybrid between a comedy and a drama, but it's really gotten intense in the last few episodes. There are no storylines on this show that I hate (sometimes Kate annoys me, but whatever) and the entire cast is likable in my opinion. I've seen all of the episodes so far, but Episode 11/"Betrayal" is definitely one of the best television episodes of the season in my opinion. I CANNOT.FREAKING.WAIT for the finale to be put On-Demand on Sunday, too . . . I read a short description of it and it sounds equally as intense.

You could tell they weren't sure it'd get renewed, so the finale was a little unspectacular and closed-ended but good nonetheless.

Spoiler [+] No, Jason is mentioned but he doesn't make an appearance and it doesn't seem like there will be any kind of reconciliation between the two. Marshall basically comes to the realization that what Kate said about Jason is true (the bicurious church monkey bit) and forgives Tara because of it.
