Thanks, sunsawed.
Jeff's new blog for the last episode is full of info we can use. I'm guessing next week there will be a fake merge. Here's the complete text: Spoiler alert! Read after the jump to check out Jeff's candid take on what went down on last night's episode of 'Survivor: Gabon.' |

I LUV TIJUANA |

Matty, Matty, Matty. He's like a Billy Joel song. Wearing his heart on his sleeve. He must stay in this game a long time. Along with Kenny, Crystal, Corrine, Randy, and Sugar.Most interesting part there. Only 2 Kota members (the female ones) listed in there. This is either a death sentence or the flat-out truth. While I want Sugar and Corinne to go far, I really can't stand the other three, especially Matty. |

It's not at all clear to me what Probst is trying to say there. (Dude, you can hire like english majors for like $50 to copy edit your blogs.)
I think he is saying "My favorite characters are Matty, Kenny, Crystal, Corrine, Randy, and Sugar. They would be a really entertaining F6." The flip side of that being "Marcus, Charlie, Susie and Bob are not interesting to me." Which is all pretty much what he told us at the start of the season. I don't think he is pretending to speculate, saying "Based on what has been broadcast so far, a reasonable person would expect Matty, Kenny, Crystal, Corrine, Randy, and Sugar to go far in the game." |

Thank god they're moving in together, even if it isn't a regular merge. I'm so sick of Fang, Fang, and nothing but Fang.
Matty-I am sure he's toast sooner rather than later, maybe first one on the jury? But I like his fighting spirit. He's one who was really screwed by being put on Fan initially and then having to stay with them. The one thing I didn't like last week was him singling out Sugar for being bad at the challenge. Uh, hello? He and Ace also played and I didn't notice either of them knocking any balls down. Crystal - So over her. Bad attitude, sucky social game, and so far has shown nothing in the challenges. Kenny is allied with her because they need each other, and it saved her butt this last week. Kenny- I like him, I really do. For a little guy he's figured out ways to keep himself in teh game by making strategic alliances. I couldn't believe he actually got Sugar to go along with the blindside Ace plan. It will be interesting to see which alliance goes further ultimately. I'm no longer convinced that it's the onions. Sugar-I know we're supposed to think she's smarter than she looks, but I don't think she's all *that* smart. Still she's got the idol and no one else does. Susie - nice lady, and for the record I don't get why Corinne thinks she's "crazy" but maybe we weren't shown something. I do think she's not to bright. Why tell someone you were going to vote them out? Unecessary and it would make anyone pissed off. She got lucky this time. Charlie - pathetic follower but he backed the winning horse so far. No clue if he has any strategy beyond that and he'll probably hand Marcus the win if he can. Corrinne- finally we see the uberbitch side of her. Calm down lady! Randy- Machiavellian. I think it will bite him, but on the other hand he's the perfect F2 goat/betrayer. Bob- lovely man. No one will want him as their F2 partner. I wish we knew more about him because I think he's an interesting human being. He just isn't nasty enough to be edited into the story. Pretty good log roller for an older guy. (I laughed when Randy called Bob "annoying." Hello pot? It's the kettle, you're black!) Marcus-Overrated? Maybe. He seems to be talking about himself and his alliance as "good people" so maybe that's the evil vs. good thing we're hearing about. He's clearly marked himself as an individual immunity threat. They'd be smart to get rid of him early, but they won't. Honestly, at this point I don't care who wins. I like this season less than any other season so far. Blech. |

So what ever happened to the good vs. evil theme that would play throughout and until the end of the game?
As of right now, if at least one good person and one evil one makes it to the end... For 'good' players, there's like Sugar and Ken... Probst wants us to like Matty. I think the onions and Randy are coming off as evil, but we're tricked into thinking they rule the game.. |

Next week - we finally pull one over on this group of Survivors. A small victory, but it felt so good that I want to brag about it early. I think you'll love it and you will shake your head in amazement at the "never happened before" moment that occurs as a result.Well, it cannot just be "live together, not merge" as we saw this already in Thailand with ShiiAnn. |

the screen caps show a mixup but how sure are we that it's 5/5 and not the 6/4 they went into the shuffle with?

It's from SFever | ||

This is from Mayan Sun who posted it in the "Solving Riddles" thread. She's a reliable source if ever there was one.
And she says it's five v. five. NuNuKota-Marcus, Bob, Susie And Kenny is sent there. And the fifth is either Crystal or Randy. NuNuFang is Matty, Sugar - adding in Charlie and Corrine - and the fifth is either Crystal or Randy. And SPhoenix has a new clue pointing to Randy. "I spy with my own little eye" is above the ten of them romping into the surf and Randy is the one with the CBS Eye over him. Does VG know something we don't know? |

For the record, I might've been off with that assessment of the clue.

blind hand hold? | ||

just wanting to post that only Marcus and Matty seem to be holding hands with two people.... everyone else is connected in
one way, or two ways with others... uh, except for Randy, who is doing the solo walk. Are they walking towards food? a
choice?

"Grease" the musical lyrics quoted by VG | ||
|
And if you roll over or click on that memorable surfing picture line-up alliance revealer, you get lyrics from "Grease"s song "We Go
Together." And since there is another switch this week, it is, of course, in true VG style, ironic.

I think you'll love it and you will shake your head in amazement at the "never happened before" moment that occurs as a result. I think a lot of people may be misreading this. I've seen a ton of posts saying basically "It can't just be a swap/fake merge, they've done that before!!" But if you actually read what that says, it doesn't say that the twist is something that's never happened before, he says that the result of the twist is something that never happened before. The one thing I didn't like last week was him singling out Sugar for being bad at the challenge. Uh, hello? He and Ace also played and I didn't notice either of them knocking any balls down. You also didn't see them just standing there giggling and making pouty faces and trying to look cute. Love Sugar all you want, but she was beyond useless in the RC. I really have no idea why they chose to have her trying to knock the ball down in the first place. |

I really have no idea why they chose to have her trying to knock the ball down in the first place.In one of the interviews, Ace said that all team members had to take turns being the attacker. My guess is that Fang actually won 2 of the match ups that were not shown and the last match that was shown with Sugar as attacker was actually the fifth match rather than the third match. |

They seemed to have a set rotation, so it really didn't matter who went first. |

I think you'll love it and you will shake your head in amazement at the "never happened before" moment that occurs as a result. We know they go to the ocean and that they'll have a feast together as one group, socializing and having fun. They all think they have merged, but Probst never announces that it's a merge. And in fact, it isn't. All I want to see are those ocean-surfing hippos. |

We don't want any "Liz kicks butt in the challenges" mishears. Well, what's never happened before? Poor Charlie and Marcus separated. |
