The Ex List - For hopeless romantics |
Lead | |
|
What if you learned you had already met your soul mate? When a bachelorette-party psychic reveals to Bella Bloom that she has already met the true love of her
life, she goes on a quest to find this mystery man from her past. With a limited time to locate him, Bella puts her normal skepticism aside and, with the help
of her friends, lists all the males she has dated, befriended or even briefly encountered in her lifetime. It's an illuminating and sometimes humiliating
search, but Bella knows it might be her only chance to find "the one."

She's ugly. I can't stand looking at her. They showed the promo for her show too many times. The more I saw her face, the less I wanted to look at her.

They cancelled Moonlight and gave us this crapfest instead. Shame CBS Shame.

Guess I'm the only one who liked it. That's fine. It'll be canceled and keep my tv viewing to a minimum.

I agree...she is ugly, they over-hyped the show, and NO ONE should be allowed to use Freddie Mercury's "Somebody To Love" on such crap as this.
Hate.

I liked it. The main actress is a little too stiff in the upper body though. There's just something off. But I liked the writing. And maybe she'll
grow on me.

Ratings: 6.85 million viewers and a 2.0/ 6 among adults 18-49 compared to 8.04 million viewers and a 2.2/ 7 among
adults 18-49 for Moonlight last year. Way to go CBS!

She's not been stiff in non-romantic stuff or when she played a budding lesbian in "Puccini for Beginners". Still, the show felt a little desperate to me. Pulling out an entire B-story about bikini waxing? In Episode 1? Oy! |

A show about someone contacting all of her exes... it sounds very unpleasant. I think it would give viewers unpleasant thoughts: about contacting people they
haven't seen in years. And, if she contacts not only ex-boyfriends, but all the boys she said "hello" to in class in high school... she would
have to relive sophomore history class and junior english class. That would be just as unpleasant as contacting boyfriends from failed relationships.

I really doubt I'm the target demographic for this seeing as I don't have a vagina, but I watched it today and really enjoyed it. There were a few
"lol" moments, and I thought the cast was good and all of the female characters were endearing anyways. The Middle Eastern guy seemed horribly out
of place, but whatever. Actually all of the supporting characters were sorta redundant, but I guess/hope they'll work that out in the future.
Guess those ratings are disappointing though. |

I don't think the plot is bad. It was mindlessly entertaining to me and that's a relief from LOST. What I'm wondering is did we see the "soulmate" in the first episode? Is it her most recent ex? For the three who liked it, what do you think? |

Even though I thought the show was awful, I do think the recent ex is the one she'll find out is her "soulmate". I imagine they'll drag out the show as long as they can & then the guy she shares custody of the dog with will have been "the one" all along. |

this thread needs a title change.
a hopeless romantic is the crazy cat lady that lives down the street. she has abandoned all hope for a human relationship. thus hopeless. but she does love them kitties. thus romantic. a "hopeful" romantic still holds out that hope for that "one true love/soul mate" to eventually be discovered. i didn't watch this show. but i'm a guessin' this gal is a "hopeful romantic"... |

I imagine they'll drag out the show as long as they can & then the guy she shares custody of the dog with will have been "the one" all along. Yeah, that's what I'm thinkin', too. Who knows though. That's way obvious. I think hopeless romantic fits. Hopelessly romantic and not changing. That doesn't mean you're not "hopeful". Maybe you don't need
hope because you already have true love. A happily married woman can be a "hopeless romantic". See what I mean? No? Ok. |

The acting was forced but I'm willing to give it another try due to the premise. (I guess I'm a hopeless)
