Okay - she was just not answering the question at all and she was saying that the use of nucleur weapons would be to devastating to the planet and therefore the weaponry shouldn't be in the hands of dangerous people? Right?Yes. She's articulate like that. |

When I heard it last night I thought she was answering the question and she was saying that nucleur weapons would be the last resort when there were too many
people around. It was a WTF moment! Glad I cleared that up - cuz I thought she was doing a 180 on her abortion stance for a minute.

MSNBC: WHO WON THE DEBATE??? | ||

(200,000+ respondents...) Biden: 75.3% Palin: 21.2% Tie: 3.4% ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But, I just want to take a brush to her teased hair and scrub that face. |

Oh, and just because it was by far the best moment of the night, you can also lol at the Achilles heel answer word-for-word.
IFILL: Let's talk conventional wisdom for a moment. The conventional wisdom, Gov. Palin with you, is that your Achilles heel is that you lack experience. Your conventional wisdom against you is that your Achilles heel is that you lack discipline, Sen. Biden. What id it really for you, Gov. Palin? What is it really for you, Sen. Biden? Start with you, governor.Personally, I'm printing, framing, and hanging it all over my room. |

Stately Wayne- not only did they not buy us dinner, they don't even have the courtesy to give us a reach around.

She did mumble something at the beginning of the response though, UKK, about having once "caved" on an issue or something.

I'm wondering if debates are even subjective enough to make any real decisions about at the end of the day. I was watching The Great Debaters the other
night, and it was amazing how stark the differences were. They were given points on how well they stated their cases and at the end someone clearly won. No
more guesswork or BS polls. I would love to see this happen, then it's out of the hands of the spin machine and we have a clear winner every time. Of
course the opposition could still find reasons their candidate did well, and make fun of the other but let the record show the winnnnnnah!
The debates have both been really close, and I haven't seen anything too impressive from anyone but when you see a Sarah Palin go off of full memorization and note cards and a little wink and still get the win from several newspapers it calls into question the whole debate process IMO.If you or I were to go to debate camp, after 20 hours of debate practice, I have a feeling most of us could at least get 30% of people agreeing with us that you won. That flow chart above is the secret to "holding your own" in any debate these days I guess. As long as you "hold your own" with the magical Sarah Palin flowchart you too can be VP of the United States and probably President. |

According to the Palin flow chart;
the Achilles Heel question falls under the catergory of "give your canned response even if it ignores the question." That would be the second General she got wrong last night... |

UKK. Thanks for the transcript. I think that just cements my loathing of her. I could cut her some slack if she didn't know that I'mADinnerJacket is in
charge or Iran, or the intracacies of the bailout (what really is a credit default swap?), but for f's sake she doesn't even know what an Achilles Heel
is? Cuz she sure didn't answer the question. She rambled a talking point. So either she refuses to answer the question, doesn't know what Achilles Heel
means and was too stupid to seek clarification on the question, or she's simplyl a ditzy bimbo, err, hockey mom married to Joe Six-pack.
God forbid we actually have a crisis and have her in charge. |

And let's not forget: Sarah knows she doesn't have what it takes to be vice president. But yet, she didn't "blink" when asked by McCain. THAT should tell you something about HER. Well, I agree that Sarah Palin is a train wreck and not even qualified for the position she currently holds, let alone VP/possible POTUS, but we have no idea how she reacted when approached by McCain. She may have been dragged kicking and screaming to the table, who knows? |

Biden choking up last night may have had to do with the fact that his son, Beau, is deploying for Iraq today.
