With 8 kids in that family, they might have dressed alike when they went out so they could recognize each other and/or look like they were all together. As for the girls always being in skirts -- some conservative Christians, especially in certain denominations, believe that women should always dress in "women's clothes" -- i.e. skirts and dresses -- remember last season when Mr. and Mrs. Bates said it's pleasing to the Lord when women dress like that? The double standard between the males and females drives me crazy. I also cannot stand the so-called buddy system they force on the older girls who are basically charged with taking care of the younger children until they're married off to become baby breeders like Michelle. Other than home schooling and popping out babies every year, when does Michelle actually spend time with each child to nurture and raise them post infancy? I can only watch this show in small doses as everything about them vexes me.

There are many verses that back up that the wine Jesus made was not alcoholic. Why would Jesus make something that has clearly caused problems for many people? In that case, it doesn't matter for which girl it was. Don't the girls basically share all their clothes and wear whatever fits and is clean? So they all might take turns. Now if they'd wanted cheap, tacky souvenirs, they could have bought a couple of sweatshirts or T-shirts off those ubiquitous street vendors for the kids to share. Are they still 3 for $10 or whatever the vendors charge?
