I have read over as many posts as possible and cut and pasted some of the better ones. This is not an easy task and we have to settle on an easier way to do it in the future.
I think the best way would be for one person in each thread (perhaps the one whose arguments carry the day) to write a short summary at the end as to the prevailing view. Prevailing view equals the view of the majority of the members WHO HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THE SUBJECT. I then think we take a "volunteer" writer to incorporate all the summaries into a GUT.
I think our readership is the highest if we post tonight and then do a separate update after the morning show vid caps.
To maintain credibility we should change our picks after the morning show only if the vid caps contradict what we have determined, not that we have second guessed ourselves on further reflection on the same evidence.
Your comments are greatly needed. I especially need to know if I am wrong, i.e. have not represented the prevailing view.
For the benefit of our group this is crucial.
For now I think being united is as important as being right if we wish to establish credibility. I know this is hard when your view differs from the prevailing view.
Chaddog I have you in mind especially when it comes to the IC winner. If we end up being right I say all these others can buy us a beer!
What I see happening in the future is that posters who consistently prove to be right will end up having more influence on the others.
We are still young. By the time Survivor 3 rolls around we will be a force to be reckoned with I am sure.
Most of the fun is the debate anyway.
The GUT is based on the simple conclusion that
1. Tina wins the RC
2. Keith wins the IC
3. Colby is voted out at TC
The Tribe has spoken.
