OFFICIAL Idea's and Twists for Survivor |
Lead | |
|
Come here, come all, to post all your now and future idea's and twists of things that are REASONABLE and that could make Survivor better. My main idea, is
we already have the hidden immunity (which I love). But I think that perhaps, when it gets to Individual Immunity, to have MULTIPLE Immunity Necklaces, would
really turn the game around. For example, the first Individual Immunity challenge is done and Player A has won it. And now, Jeff Probst brings out a board that
has 6 or 7 distinctly different necklaces. Probst informs them that only ONE of them is the traditional Survivor Immunity necklace. The others, Probst informs
them, have distinct and seperate individual powers, which can only be used once and then are put in the fire as soon as used. The person then gets to select at
random, his neckalce, which can have the following powers. ***The person's uses the necklace as soon as he votes, to then go back and cast a second vote,
essentially giving him two votes this TC. ***The person can select anyone that is still in the game. This person does NOT get to vote at Tribal Council, so it
takes a vote away from a voting bloc that may be in teh game. The person can still be voted out, though. ***Similar to the above one, only in this case, the
person then gets to nominate one person in the Jury. That person on the Jury stands up and gets to go and cast a vote as if that person were a voting member of
the game. It would be great if a during a tight vote, that it might get a understrengthed voting bloc that extra member. However, they can't actually tell
the person whom to vote for, that person on the Jury has to watch and see how things are going. He gets up, he votes and say's what he has to say, then
goes and sits down ***The Necklace allows the weilder to grant Individual Immunity to a second person in the game, essentially making two people immune at TC,
himself and whomever he bestows it upon.

the problem with that idea is that it would leave almost not time for strategy. not knowing which power is which causes too much luck to come into play. it
would ruin the show. it would also cause brain tumors from making the audience think too much. FAIL.

then perhaps these 'special powers' are revealed on the spot. Probst lets them pick the necklace, tells them what they can do. I think it will increase
strategy. People will have to be more......open that someone might have hte unexpected planned. People will have to have alliances that say "Ok, we take
out something, but if it looks like this new necklace is going to cause this, then we do this instead". As long as Probst is quick and brieft about the
powers, i think it can work.

no, it won't work. that would ruin the entire show. 7 different immunity "powers"? this isn't captain planet, bud. EPIC FAIL.

I refuse to make my eyes bleed by read that huge block of text.

I am thinking come final three. the players should be seperate from one another and compete in an endurance challenge. They won't be able to see or talk to
each other (which could take away from the deal-making part) but the winner won't know they've won. None of the players will know who won immunity
except Jeff Probst and all three will vote at tribal council where only the one player who won immunitiy will have their vote count. Jeff reads that one
player's vote out loud like usual. Statistically, the player who wins final three immunity doesn;t get a vote from the player they have to vote off prior
to the final two. SO I thought this would leave it a mystery and maybe save face of the final immunity winner in the eyes of the last person they have to vote
off, seeing as they won;t know which player actually screwed them out of the show.

that'd be a cool idea, gottaTRI. but the one issue would be separating the 3 of them. because even if they set up a type of divider between them, the other
players might still hear them fall or yell something when they lost.

I think instead of bloating casts to 18 people, CBS should do a reward/immunity at the final 4 and a three-part immunity at final 3... separate episodes.

I like the idea of separating them for a challenge and none of them know how each other did. Jeff could then reveal the immunity winner when they got to
tribal then vote. There wouldn't be time for strategy at the F3, but that is when most people screw it up anyway.

how about this? | ||

Each player can bring along a "luxury item". It could be anything as long as they can carry it by themselves. Then all the items are set out on the
beach at arrival time. Team Captains are selected, and choose tribes by picking the luxury item they think are most useful; school yard pick style. After you
pick all the items you want, then you find out what player goes with what item. Essentially picking a tribe by how important the object is, not based on a
perceived notion of how strong or useful a player might be. Next: when you vote out a player, you also vote off their item. Do you keep a tribe member
around just so you can keep their item, or do you get rid of them and their "great item"? What do you think?

That could be fun to watch. The luxury items pick-em would get rid of all the perceptions that people have of each other before they can talk that seems to be
taking place.
Here's an idea: You have your two teams and after a couple of TC then you switch teams to male vs. female but they started out being mixed. You would get more girls fighting because they've already flirted or ticked each other off, and somewhat same with the guys. |

id still like to see 3 tribes played, up untll the merge. imo at times when the tribes merge, its kinda like us vs. them. for example, a merge with a 5-5 tie
would most likely result in the origional tribemates sticking together. but if they played 3 triges out untill the merge, say mergin at 4-3-3, it would be
interesting to see how allilances joined toegther and what not. pretty simple and effective twist the game, but thats my opinion

i think this one would be a twist better suited for a show like big brother (they did something like this in a luxury comp. over the summer)--but i guess it
could work for survivor. each person get's 5 big gold coins. each one is worth 1,000 dollars. they can give them to other people to help secure a deal, and
what not. if they get voted off--they need to give ALL of their chips (no dividing) to ONE person still in the game. so, in the end--the final two will have
80,000 dollars between the two of them. at final tribal council, they can pawn them off to jury members in exchange for a promise to give them their vote.
HOWEVER--it's never binding--once the jury member is given the coins, they can do whatever the hell they want with it---so that would make it interesting.
Although, I do feel like the idea would be better suited for a show like Big Brother. i think season 20 needs to be a "back to the basics" season in
Borneo.

I agree that S20 should go back to Borneo. That's just classic. I'm not sure how they can keep the viewers interested without any twist and such.

Stop resuing locations. they can repeat a country but not a location.

For survivor 20 they should have a 16 or 18member cast only of all-stars, but this time it should be interactive in which viewers get to vote for the cast
members they want to be on the show; one form each season. The person who gets the most votes from that perticular season is on the show.

birdseyeview |

um. how about giving some new people a chance. because ultimately if they let the fans vote it would be a cast made up of half the all stars cast, and part of
the favorites team.

we don't need another all stars season.
