I think some things are getting lost in the translation in regards to Bunky's interview with Ollie. Bunky did not call Ollie a n*****. What he said, basically, was, "would it be okay if someone called you a n*****?" In other words he was using a comparison, to try to get Ollie to understand the seriousness of what he actually said. Bunky was definitely not calling Ollie the n-word. That would have been completely uncalled for and offensive. The analogy/comparison, imo, was not at all offensive. And, since this seemed to be the only way to get through to Ollie, I almost think it had to be done.
