Almost every BB season, the finalist, or the winner usually face tough roads in making the F2. Some, face extraordinary odds.
IMO, some of the longest and hardest earned are: (will post more later)
Big Brother 4- Alison- Alison was probably the most diabolical and rabid BB contestant ever. She wasn't concerned about making friends or betraying at all. But, the first couple weeks Alison was pretty chilled and laid back. She talked about her college life and her relationship with Justin. After she got over her meltdown that he was in the house that is. When Dana nominated her, however, she became psycho Alison. Dana was dumb for putting her up, but it was a calculated risk really because if Alison left Dana would have been safe for awhile. That week, everyone was against Alison. I didn't see how there was anyway she'd be able to recover whether she survived or not.
Alison needed the veto to stick around which she didn't win but her "faux" BFF ended up winning it. Her mindfuck over Nathan was the most manipulative, shady mindfuck ever on BB history. She flirted with him, kissed him, and who knows what else to make sure he used the veto on her. She also convinced him that she could win every challenge which he stupidly believed. He ended up using the veto on her like an idiot, and with a crucial HOH win, she went on a reign of terror. She got Dana out immediately, then aligned with the Three Stooges, backstabbed them and joined with Erika and Jun. Alison was still a target for some people, but she was able to successfully jump between the Three Stooges and Jack and Erika. Once it got to the endgame, she won a couple of POV's in the F5 and F4 and won the final HOH to secure her spot in the finals. She really did have an amazing comeback.
Big Brother 6- Ivette- Ivette was loud, aggressive, and assertive. She seemed right off the bat a for sure target at the beginning. She was nominated a few times and was the last remaining pair in the house. There was one week, when April was dangerously close to voting out Ivette when she volunteered to go up against Sarah. April was super pissed at Ivette and though Ivette was targeting her.
Her getting Kaysar out and being the protagonist when he was first nominated, and th4e second time, helped her heaps because he was definitely after her. But, she did it in a way as Kaysar and Janelle didn't think she was the only one behind it. As if it was a "group" decision. She campaigned hardcore for J. Blow to backdoor Kaysar which J. Blow fell for while Maggie and Ivette laughed in the corner knowing they were safe. And, when Janelle won HOH, and put Ivette and J. Blow up, Ivette knew she was safe.
Ivette's relationship with April started to get rockier and rockier as the season went on and April actually wanted to evict Ivette over Beau when they were nominated by Howie. But, since Ivette was so close with Maggie, Maggie convinced April otherwise. After that vote, Ivette won the F5 HOH, the F4 POV and the Final HOH. She would have been out if she had lost the F5 HOH or the F4 POV for sure. It wasn't the fact that she made F2, but it was how overbearing and loud she was to actually make it that far.
