It says a lot about Michelle that the tribe overlooked multiple older & out of shape competitors for the pleasure of booting her unanimously but I
can't help but feel that the disruptive players should always be kept over the ones that are clearly going to lose challenges for you.

I knew Gillian was going home when her face looked different (older and more tired) before the 2nd TC. Usually your face looks weird if you are an early boot
in any reality season. There is a reason you are an early boot.

I wasn't impressed by the locale. Other than animals and their shelter being in the middle of everything, it was more of the usual.
But then again it looks so pretty and exile island looks creepy for some reason. |

I enjoyed the premeir, but I don't understand something. The editors have two freaking hours. TWO. Yet they still manage to hide a few people. I don't
even know how that's possible.
I love Fang. The entire tribe is awesome. Ken and Michelle showmance was pretty good to watch, and it might be the only one that I'll ever like. I wish she didn't leave first though because she was much more entertaining than some of the girls on Kota. I liked Gillian, too. She was funny, but I would much rather her leave over Ken. (  at Ken
dropping the pen cap. )Randy and Crystal are awesome as predicted, and I actually liked Dan. Matty, I'm not so sure about yet. GC was a little bitch, but
he had some funny quotes. It was pretty funny to see everyone on a tribe know how to play the game. Everyone knew that it was stupid to step up as a leader,
but I guess it's even worse not to have one. The biggest question I have is WHY WASN'T SUSIE SHOWN AT ALL?
Kota is the much lesser of the two tribes. Ace and Pamola are alright, and I like Bob and Corrine. Marcus and Charlie's relationship is disturbing in general. And the three blonds are all forgettable. I think the three of them only had two confessionals together... Fang needs to win the IC next week, so we can get some character development with the blonds. |

Anyhow that happens every season, and it isn't about showing each person, it is about having the most entertaining TV. Tonight wasn't very entertaining, just okay. I love Fang. One tribe didn't go to TC at all. That's what caused the editors to ignore half of Kota. (And by half, I mean 3/9 people.)

I'm just glad the premiere was pushed back and we got the two hours tonight...because, I hate to say it, the first hour bored the crap out of me. The
second episode was pretty good but had we had a week in between, the season would have gotten off to a less-than-impressive start.
I gotta disagree with Thailandsurvivor though; I'm rooting for Kota all the way. Ace and Bob kick ass. Those two and Randy and maybe Marcus are pretty much going to define this season (ok, maybe I'm being a little generous to include Bob in that group, but he was pretty awesome). I hate the pan-and-scan for non-HD TVs.  The framing feels so off in SD now, especially during the theme song. They should just show it letterboxed; it was
definitely meant to be viewed in widescreen or else the cameramen have no idea what a safe zone is.

I love the fact that Dan actually puts on the jacket AND the tie when he goes to Tribal Council. Apparently the jacket just isn't enough. Sometimes you
have to spruce it up and add the tie as well.

Was anyone else amused that they just re-used the red and yellow paper mache boulders from Survivor: Africa? What, did the production crew just leave them
