Thanks AC!
One quarter of the Galveston population chose to stay in the face of "certain death" that has been warned due to the storm surges. That is about 15,000 people. What part of you are going to die fool, do these brainiacs not get? |

hey look at it this way, SK. it's called thinning the herd. i saw those pictures of adults with their CHILDREN walking out to see the waves. too bad CPS
can't snatch the kids and leave the parents to drown----which they will since they're still down there. idiots.

If you are brave enough to stick it out and not evacuate, then I think you have every right to go through your abandoned neighbors houses to find a few
hurricane keepsakes.

A reporter got to see 3 guys getting busted for trying to do just that last night DT. The cops say they are not going anywhere.
And in Texas, we got guns. |

my neighbor left her house after alicia because she lost power for 2 weeks. she got broken into TWICE. i'm not going anywhere and if anyone tries it
here, they'll be staring down the barrel of my .38.

Galveston is looking rough and Ike hasn't even hit yet. The streets are flooded. Dumpsters are floating down the street. Docks are destroyed.
The waves going over the sea wall is freaky at this point. That wall is like 15 feet high and if the waves are breaking over it now I can't imagine what it will be like once the hurricane winds get there. |

i love that map, SK. i'm hoping those winds don't get much higher than that.
i don't feel that nervous but my stomach must be. i just can't eat. my friend's on his way over to board up 3 windows i'm worried about and then i'm officially DONE. |

I hope everyone is somewhere safe and well stocked for the storm.
Us in Dallas will probably just get some rain and a little wind. You guys all take care! <3 |

Natural selection at its finest in Galveston right now. A storm bringing certain death and you got people hanging out on the beach just taking it all in.

I'm hanging out here in the Woodlands with all of my family who evacuated from Galveston/Kemah/Seabrook area. My mom lives on Tiki Island and they just
showed her house on tv, first floor is already flooded and not a single drop of rain has even fallen!
This is just from the tide rising..not even a storm surge yet. |
