Not that I actually vote or anything, but I love Gilles because he has no fan base and he's great, and Ty, because I never thought he'd take this
seriously and improve, and Shawn, because how can you not love her? Melissa is terrific, but I'd rather support the other 3 due to her background.

Shawn's total lack of personality is going to be a problem for them though, only gorgeous men can get away with being dull as dishwater and still go to the end. To be fair, didn't Brooke and Kristi win? Loved them, but they were bots <3. I hope this isn't going to be another season where the same person is 1st place every week. Brooke & Kristi were miles ahead of the competition but Gilles has some stiff competition. He is the best at latin, but he was pretty awful at ballroom last week. |

Ty's latest blog.
I don't watch the show for the celebrities as much as I watch to see people learn how to dance, or how to work with a partner, so for that reason I'm enjoying this season more than I thought I would. Last night was the first time I can remember in years where most of the dancers worked hard to improve and you could see the results. Most of the time it's more like Chuck, where they pout until they get the scores they want. Since Chuck will probably be around most of the season, I hope they start putting him in dresses and wigs or extremely tight, revealing outfits, so he can say, "I'm not feminine, even though I'm dressed like Charo" and, "I'm a normal guy, even though you can make out my package through this lycra." Do you think Dmitry gets flashbacks to Joy from SYTYCD when he sees Holly? He was never that close to his partners on SYTYCD but Joy was the one he had the ugliest relationship with. The samba probably brought back some bad memories. I feel sorry for Holly, she's such a fan of the show, and she is trying, all while in the shadow of the apparently irreplaceable Jewel. I wish they could have her with Maks and give Denise to Dmitry. As for the scores, I think they will probably keep Gilles close to the top most weeks, since they still aren't sure of his fan base. I'm hoping that if most of the people left keep doing well then we might get some unpredictable results once some of the cannon fodder is gone. I just wish Steve-O wasn't in such pain, I'd like to have see how he could have done.

I could never sit through this show before this season-it is fucking hilarious. I was only tuning in until they brought Woz out and somehow I have become
fascinated with everyone else. What a bunch of hacks!
I did see David Allen Grier on Clean House once so I knew who he was - his brother is a packrat. I fucking hate Melissa- she was so boring last night- what was missing was excitement, it was a snoozefest. Gilles was so hot like a red hot poker, as that wacko judge stated. I just love that Gilles guy- he's so French (gay) . I need to rewatch Sex in the City because I don't remember seeing him naked- anyone have a screenshot? |

I really don't understand how people can get so excited about a fraction of a second's view of some dude's penis. It amazes me everytime I see it
brought up. The guy had maybe 4 lines in the whole movie and wasn't even in a pivotal role, yet all anyone remembers from SATC is Gilles penis.

Tony is such a boring choreographer. Yes, he did well with the waltz and two days of training, and the samba was OK...but now he's just doing his coasting
TV-dance 101 thing, trying to hide flaws, adding lots of kicks...he just doesn't bring the sizzle that someone like Cheryl, or even Derek brings to the
small screen. When Julianne doesn't just twirl around a lump like Helio, she can also do good stuff, her little "wow" factor touches and pacing
of standard moves, wow factor, emotion, standard moves works for this show.
Tony does OK in the beginning, when everyone is lucky to just get the steps right, but I don't know if he can pull a show-stopping dance out of his ass. |

Tony was the American Rhythm champion a couple years back in the American Ballroom Challenge if I remember. The dances were pretty solid but not as intense as
the International Latin dances where there's documented proof of the female partners getting pregnant on the dance floor.
I like Tony because he's a solid choregrapher. True he may not put in as many flashy moves like the Houghs or the Ballas, but he also doesn't seem to be a cocky attention whore like them either. plus he sexy |

so is melissa going to get to peform in one of the last spots of the show for the remainder of the season?
I really cannot wait until gilles and melissa leave, I dont know why I just dont like them at all. Melissa gets so much hype from the judges because shes "new" even though Holly is just as "new" and has less experience, it really drives me nuts. |

I like Tony too, but this show is 1/2 ballroom, and 1/4 personality, and 1/4 WOW me. For him to get a win, he needs to step it up, show different emotions, show moves for Melissa that don't just cater to her strengths. I think Mark needs to knock of the constant gym-moves he has Shawn doing too. Yeah, we get it, these women can do standing splits and pirouettes, now do something fresh or we will get bored. He just needs to punch it up for the small screen, and he probably needs to do a dead serious tango to avoid the smiley face backlash, again though, ditto to Mark and Shawn. I thought he did a great waltz that worked for someone who had so little time training, and his Salsa was good too, but this week he was using the same tricks he used in the waltz, and, while it worked, it just seemed like same-ol' thing. Both Shawn and Melissa will get backlash if they don't do new tricks, because they have obvious skills that the others don't have. Weeks 1 and 2? OK, that made sense, but if they don't show new skills, I think the dancers who do (Ty, Kim, Gilles) will run away with the glitter ball.
