No, but the tires explode and the plane careens into the terminal killing everyone aboard.
(it was on Mythbusters)

The fact that the wheels are spinning suggests you are wrong in your plane bondage scenario. They aren't free spinning they are being acted upon by the conveyor belt or they wouldn't be spinning.

Surprised you didn't catch it. The "conveyor" belt was moving at the take-off speed of the plane not the speed of the plane. It would be ludicrous to assume that the plane's ground speed is not much faster than the take-off speed. I would be surprised if it is not 3x the take-off speed. The plane could have easily been doing 2x the speed of the truck and taken off. Oh the thing about the cockroaches surviving was blatantly wrong too. You have to irradiate the entire bug's habitat in order to determine which will survive long-term and at what level of exposure. Also I think I recorded a little of the previous show about the chicken. If that chicken had been dead awhile it would have made it harder to remove the feathers so their attempts to bust the myth about a hurricane or tornado blowing the feathers off was probably not an accurate experiment either. Not to mention a live chicken would move around changing the impact points of the wind.
