Is wikipedia your default search engine? |

It's mine, unless I need an image or an article. It's simply too useful.

No. Ever since I edited my high school article and put my name as one of the "Notable Alumni," I found it to be too unreliable.

People make that argument. But the unreliability only comes out when you're digging for details. If all you need to know is who Lizzie Borden was or the
population of Lagos, that stuff doesn't get screwed with (it does but it's self-corrected).

Lagos is pronounced Leh-gos.

I never use it. I go to Urban Dictionary for everything I need; I go there when yuku is having the magic performed on it too.

I spent most of my last weekend off surfing Wikipedia. Its a great repository of trivia. But no, Google is still my default search engine.
Of course, a Google search usually turns up a Wikipedia entry at the forefront, so the point is moot. |

i still keep google as my search toolbar, to find local restuarants/address searches etc. but for almost everything else i fashion my search term like
"wiki: anal sex"

I'm an addicted in Wikipedia. I saw it when my brother opened a Wikipedia about WWE. Later it became popularized as many other classical encyclopedias like
Britannica, Compton's and Colliers.

If I knew how to quote both CRA and nomii in the same post, I would, and then put red xs underneath each.
I spent a good two days reading about natural disasters and asteroids and stuff. |

Have you checked out the Encyclopedia of Life? My brother pointed me in that direction yesterday and it's a great place to
click around. I use Google....and Wiki as a backup |

Emma, I just searched for strawberries, and the frikkin page wasn't verified or whatever! Grrr! So much.
SS, I just got this email from the high school I went to: "Good Search" is a search engine from Yahoo that donates 1 penny for each search to non-profit organizations and [my school foundation] is now registered to receive donations. You can read about it at http://www.goodsearch.com/About.aspx and if you decide to use them for your searches, click on "Home" and in the space under "Who do you Good Search for?" enter [name of foundation]. There are instructions about how to set Good Search as the default search engine so that you only need to make this selection one time. It certainly seems like a good idea and as we all know, pennies add up. If you shop on-line, please read about their program to donate varying percentages of your purchase to your favorite organization. Thank you.
