100 is an estimate but it is around there. Few people from each casting location moved to the next round. There are only 2 videos. One of your
interview/open call (I believe open call contestants had to do the same thing) which is combined with the video you send them, and then that video is shown to
the upper level casting directors I suppose. For those who submitted the video as their option, they only have one video, which is due this wednesday. That
might put them at a disadvantage, as the interview/open call option allowed the casting directors to get the information they REALLY wanted from you. But then
again, if you have an awesome video, you skip the whole first impression deal! So we'll see. I expect calls will be no later than this Friday/next
Monday, or EARLIER, depending on their turnout from mailed in videos.

Are you sure you had to be asked to do a video after your semi final interview? How do you know for sure that if you were not asked to submit a video after a
call back you are not moving on?

The casting directors do not want to edit all of the video interviews that they conducted, so they only have to edit the few that they selected to move on to
the next round. They edit the video without their questions in it so that it appears the contestant is saying everything without being prompted. That's
why (at least in Chicago) they asked you to reply to their questions in full sentences. They then throw on the dvd that was submitted by the contestant onto
the interview video and give that to the higher-ups. I am not saying I know FOR SURE that people who were not asked to submit a video are out, but they most
likely are because the directors do not have time to edit every interview they conducted.

Trashelles Sister Buffy is right. Noone knows for sure, but there were lots of people who were not asked to submit a video, and the letter that those who had
to submit a second video got said
"congratulations on being selected to move to the next round", I am guessing, if you got that letter, you are at least going to be seen by a few higher ups, and then they will move the ones they like on. There are a number of people involved in the casting process. From what I hear, the PAs get paid based on if their contestants get on the show or not. Can someone confirm that, so if they like you, they push for you when they get back to Burbank. Good luck to all. I know my friend has not heard yet, and she had to submit the 2nd video.

As someone who doesn't live near a casting call location and sent in a video application, I can tell you I haven't heard a thing from them yet. I'm half expecting to get a big green "L" in the mail to wear on my forehead to tell me I've lost. |

The casting producer at my location said nothing about a video when I talked to them today. They said we would be contacted within the next two weeks (before
the 29th.) It is true that we had to speak with the questions intertwined, but the casting producer said they were going to edit out the voices for us
already. There was not a great turnout for the location I went to.

To everyone worried about not being contacted yet:
OK, so I have NO inside information really, and know nothing about The Mole, but do have some basic information which I'll call "common sense" for lack of a better explanation. So, I checked the website...and noticed that they changed the tape deadline to the 20th instead of the 10th of February. So, basically, they will not contact anyone for LA until the 22-25th of February (at least this is how other TV shows work, and that I DO know.) They contact everyone at once, so if one person has heard, everyone has. This tells me that no one has heard yet because there are a few on here that are still waiting to hear and the deadline has not yet passed, and I believe one person said they had their interview just last week. With a very small budget like that of "The Mole" they cannot "roll" their admissions to LA. They simply cannot afford to. I will guarantee they have a set number of contestants that will interview in LA. Sorry to disappoint, but if people have said they have gotten calls to LA already, they are most likely lying. It happens, it's dumb, I know, but people do it. It is not uncommon to hear from the casting directors until a week before the finals, or even closer than that, so don't let that be a concern either. If the 26th rolls around and you haven't heard, chances are you're out of the running. Best of luck to all the sucks applicants, I hope to see you on my screen soon. The Mole is a reality show worth watching most definitely and this season will be no exception. ;) |

Bingo ... they're obviously moving fast with casting, and decided each interviewee's fate on the spot. That may be a bitter pill for some to swallow.
And great news for others. Interestingly, the actual instructions for the home video were almost identical to the ones posted on the molecasting site
("Option #3: Submit a Casting Video").

I want to be watching mole right now. I wish I were one of those people who could watch these things more than once but I finder after i've seen a season I
have little interest in that same season again.

I'm with you April, once I have seen it and know what happened I never feel like re-watching. For me the best aspect to these shows is the experience of finding out what happens next. Always end up just waiting until the next season... Guess thats why I start watching so many other shows, get bored waiting... |

So i am guessing that the next two days will be huge for the people that applied and are still in the running. The mail-in applications are due today and I
would guess that the casting directors will be contacting those going to LA within the next few days. How many days do they tell you in advance if you are
going to have to go to LA?
