There's something to be said for finishing 2nd and 3rd in two seasons of Survivor (especially when someone else knew how she finished and could have/should
have gotten rid of her). That said, her end game performance is pretty lame. Todd simply outplayed her which is why she lost China and she again rested on her
laurels in Micronesia. It's like both times she got to the finals and then said "Ok, that's good enough for me"

I think she had no public speaking skills, you gotta get it out there what you did and sell it, but yeah, she really gave all the power to the jury---but
IMO you can persuade them A LOT by what you say and how you say it.

I agrre she made some good moves, made it to the end in back-to-back seasons, and never got a vote against her, but here we are judging her HORRIBLE END-GAME.
To me the better she made it before the end-game the more we can judge her for, because she had high chances of winning, and blew it, twice. And to me, Ian
doesn't count, he had no end-game because he just gave up, he gave up winning, so thats just a really stupid thing to do, but doesn't count as a bad
strategic move.

ETA: the deal was not shown in the episodes but was confirmed in interviews. |

Point is: Amanda sucks. OK, now lets let this thread die.

I think Amanda did great in the game of Survivor, but like it has been said before, she fell apart in the finals. In China she flew completely under the radar,
and Todd won because basically he was better than her. But in Micronesia, I think she played much better than Parvati because she went to far more Tribal
Councils with no votes. I was shocked she didn't win against Parv.

Had Amanda played in an earlier season against Parvati, she likely would have won.
Now, Survivor juries reward double-dealing, deceitful backstabbers, as it is seen as strategic play, whereas Amanda's loyal and physical game is no longer seen to be as active. Amanda stayed loyal to her main alliances (Todd, Parvati) and that cost her the game. I think Peih-Gee said it best in China... if a player can make it to the same position playing honourably and loyally, they deserve it more than someone who got far lying, backstabbing, etc. Just my opinion. It's all part of the game, and I realize there's no way to change what people perceive to be good gameplay. |

Well Amanda did do some backstabbing. What about James?

In Micronesia she sat on Ozzy's dick until he was blindsided, then bitched about Parvati and how she was going to "shake things up". She proceded to hop on Parvati's ass and ride it to the end without doing anything. She shouldn't have even made it that far. Her making the finals is as fucked up as Yul winning. Without the idol, she doesn't even get the chance to give one of the worst jury performances ever.

Compared to the women of the previous two seasons, the women in China (Amanda, Peih Gee, Jaime mainly) were seen as a great step-up in strategic play too...
And in the early game, Amanda did have that alliance with Parvati and Cirie, where she and Parvati convinced Cirie that they'd be willing to ditch Ozzy/James for her because they were too threatening. She was also in control of Malakal with Ozzy, according to Erik, who usually ran all his thoughts by Amanda... |

Yeah, nobody's saying she is the worst player of all time. Amanda happily shot herself two seasons in a row - WORST ENDGAME PLAYER EVER.

Huh? Dont say Todd came up with that? He did! Later on, He wanted to take james to the final five becaue they had a deal where james would give todd one of the idols and james would use the other, thereby guaranteeing todd final four! Thats not that bad of an idea for todd. There was no guarantee todd would win the final five immunity so to take a deal that would guarantee you final four is smart!Well if anything doesnt that just make amanda's move even better? Todd WASNT the one to organise James' ouster at F7, he considered voting out james earlier but he didnt want james gone at F7 because he had this good deal with him. The fact that amanda took control and even convinced todd to go back on this great deal he had means it was an even better move than i thought. Amanda getting rid of James then benefitted her most and not Todd, yet she still got Todd to go along with her strategy and she executed it perfectly. Anyways, yes she is bad at final tribals and she cant seem to keep her heart out of the way of her head for the full 39 days so she breaks down at the very end because it gets to her when she is voting out the members of her alliance who she went through the entire game all the way to the end with. |

Amanda the Panda should not have been on FvF. If Courtney and Peihgee deny appearing in Micronesa, how 'bout they offer the spot to Katie, Lydia, Cindy, etc.? |
