Purple Rock? |

I thought they got rid of it completely? Is she right about the fire making challenge only being F4?

She did explain. It's purple rock, EXCEPT in the F4 when they do fire. We haven't had a tie outside of the F4 since Palau when Angie was booted, and
for that TC there were 5 people voting so a revote solved the problem.

Angie made the Final 4 in Palau?? I wish. But yeah, what Cirie said is correct. The purple rock is still the official tie-breaker for ties of more than 4
people.

I thought you all knew that if there is a deadlocked tie with more the four people, they do the purple rock.
They only do the fire-building challenge when there is a tie at final four. |

Cirie is such a liar. The tie breaker is now building fire and it can happen before the Final 4. Remember in Survivor: Palau when Stephanie and Bobby Jon
built that fire to see which one of them would be the last tribe member standing from their Ulong tribe to make the merge.

i think they should come up with more one on one tie breakers instead letting the fear of a colored rock mess with a vote

Remember in Survivor: Palau when Stephanie and Bobby Jon built that fire to see which one of them would be the last tribe member standing from their Ulong tribe to make the merge. That's because they were the only two people left on the tribe you dumbass, and they aren't going to make two people pick a fucking rock to stay. |

For ties of 4 people or less they do the fire building challenge. For ties of more than 4 people they do the purple rock. Those have been the official tie-break rules since season 5. |

There's only a fire challenge if it's at F4. Other than that, there's a revote if there is an odd number of people voting or it's a puple rock
draw if it's an even numbered voting. (I think, haha).

I'm not so sure that's right. I mean, it definitely could be, but my one hesitation is that Jonathan said in his SL that if he had voted with the Raros
and there was a tie at the F8, he thought the TB would have been fire. Other than that, though, there's nothing to suggest it wouldn't be the PROD.
ETA: all i know is tht fucking purple rock fuckedFIXED. |

(I think, haha).Again, it has nothing to do with the Final 4, it's just based on the number of people. With 4 people or less they do the fire building challenge. For more than 4 people they do the purple rock. ETA: And yes, this is only for ties with an even number of players. Obviously if there's an odd number of players they just do a re-vote, with the votes being limited to the 2 people who were tied.

Why the hell is eveyone saying the fire tie-breaker is only at F4??
It just so happens that all the ties since Marquesas WERE at F4. So how do you know it wouldn't be a fire tie-breaker any other time? |

I find it hard to believe that Burnett would use the stupid purple rock as a tiebreaker ever again. It infuriated the fanbase, and I would bet good money we
will never see it again. Seeing as they change the game every season, that just plain isn't going to happen.

Probst said in some interview that they screwed up with the purple rock with Paschal and that those receiving the tied # of votes are immune, as is whoever has
the necklace, and all others left draw rocks. Obviously at F4 they can't do it that way since one person would be automatically eliminated. We've just
never had an even numbered person tiebreaker to confirm things.
And you know, I'd think someone in the game, who probably would have signed contracts, or read written rules would know better than some random messageboard poster. |

People, please. This has been confirmed for us time and time again by former castaways for several seasons now.
Just accept it. Purple Rock. |

Seeing as they change the game every season, that just plain isn't going to happen. The show likes the purple rock tiebreak because it dissuades people having tie votes in the first place. Seeing as to how it's never been needed since season 4, it's serving that effect well in the minds of the producers. |
