If he didn't pussy out...the week he left, Ozzy would have been gone instead (Tracy, Erik, Chet, Ami). The next 2 weeks, instead of Tracy and Ami got voted out, it would have been Cirie and Amanda. After the merge, Eliza and Jason would be with them 6 strong against Poverty, James, Nat and Alexi. James would be the first Jury instead of Eliza, and this week, Jason could easily win another immunity, which means, most likely Poverty out. Talking about a big impact from one person pussy out!

Posts: 640 (04/17/08 9:28 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	If Ami's now denying she ever would have voted out Ozzy, I suspect it's for purposes of damage control and not being stigmatized as a turncoat by other Survivor alumni. She concocted that whole convoluted 3-2-1 voting scheme and tried to bait Amanda and Cirie into voting for Erik just for the hell of it? It wouldn't make sense to make those kinds of promises to the fans if she wasn't willing to go through with it. For one thing, they could end up tattling on her like Erik did, and turn the other favorites against her. Also, what was the point of "giving them hope" when they'd just end up being pissed off at her and feeling betrayed when she didn't do what she had promised? I think she would just rather pose as a martyr who was wrongly scapegoated than as a wannabe backstabber whose scheming blew up in her face.

Posts: 7931 (04/17/08 9:40 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	We still would have had an awesome Ozzy blindside, albeit a little less satisfying, but the tradeoff would have been an endgame featuring Ami, Eliza and Tracy (and maybe even KB, depending on if Airai was able to win the E7 RC against an Ozzyless Malakal) instead of Parvati, Amanda and Ciretard.

I still don't think the producers would have let Chet quit after an Ozzy vote, though. He may have wanted to go home, but they were not going to risk three players being booted in one episode (two of them being Jonathan and Ozzy). I think he was strong-armed into letting the tribe vote him out instead of waiting to vote Ozzy and then quitting. Of course, he probably shouldn't have wanted to quit in the first place since all he really had was a splinter in his foot.
