Posts: 7 (12/15/06 8:32 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	This is my first time posting but long time reader and since there seems to be a ton of outspoken fans here, I figured that I would solicite the aid of the Survivor fans here at Sucks that are are tired of the actors and recruits SEG seems to want to push down our throat. If you "truly" are opposed to the recruitment of contestants, then there is an online poll that has been started. The address for the poll is here; www.ipetitions.com/@#%$/SayNoToRecruits/ copy and paste or follow the link and you will find a poll that will be sent to CBS and Mark Burnett productions. Lets see how many signatures we can get. I am curious to see how many people will sign it from here. I am not sure if it will do any good, but figure that it can't hurt. The creator of the poll has the email adresses to Burnett's company and CBS and is planning on sending the responses to them in January. Also, there is a feature that will sign you in as anonymous if you are someone trying out for Survivor and don't want your chances of participation to be hurt by signing it. If you belong to another group then feel free to post this poll there also. Let's get our voices heard as fans of Survivor.

And they certainly can't tell them they have to leave for two months for no apparent reason. In the beginning (sounds like Genesis) spoiling wasn't rampant and people could actually tell their bosses without the media getting a hold of it. Nowadays, it's nearly impossible to hide the idea that you're going on Survivor. So...you get fired, or threatened. For desperate models, they can afford to leave with hope of any opportunity they will get. Still, Cook Islands didn't really have a problem with it. We didn't have a slew of models. Oh, and if last season is any indication, the list is total crapola. I think Kara may be the ONLY person on the show in this thread.

The logical move is to have employers sign non-disclosure agreements too...or even better, maybe they shouldn't be as concerned with people knowing the cast ahead of time--spoilers are going to come out anyway, and weight loss spoilers (unless people don't follow NDAs, the only real spoilers that can come from knowing the cast early) can be misleading.

I have seen several at the open casting calls that I have been at. Also, there are several people that would fit the bill that send in audition tapes. Now then, most that I have seen on youtube are horribly PATHETIC, but one guy, Steve Todey has 2 excellant tapes and he is better looking than a lot of Survivor contestants that have been on the show so far. Hell, I am damn good looking myself...LOL Okay maybe in my own mind :-) But jedi I do know that if I ever get on the show, I can guarantee that NOBODY (outside my immediate family) would know that I was on the show until it actually aired. I have 3 months of vacation built up that I get every year and have been known to take it in years past. If I don't take it then I just cash what I haven't taken in and start the next year, but I do have a large chunk of the year where there is no way I can take off. But, the months that Survivor is filmed is perfect timing for me to take off in that it is our slow times. My boss and other employees thinks I will just be off on one of my "extended" adventures. So, there are people who doesn't have to be recruited that can still be on the show who are good looking and make for better TV than those who don't know how to play the game as this previous group in Cook Islands are proof positive for this. Mi dios, that lard arse chunk of jazz player is actually being allowed to promote his next CD by playing a song he wrote for the show!!!! AMAZING!!!! Hmmmm, I wonder why he decided to go on Survivor??? And yes there were a lot less models, but now they are a combination of models, actors and musicians!!! What is this show becoming??? The Gong Show, Survivor style??? It would be HILARIOUS if at tribal for Survivor Fiji, there is a huge Gong signaling a Survivor being voted off instead of the torches...It is sad to watch and hear of all the promotion gigs these current guys are plugging. Anyone want to hire Flicka at flicka.freakin com or how about a "heavy" metal album from sad sack Billy??? I am going to be lined up for that one!!! :-) Anyway, I just wish and hope the recruiting stops even though it looks like it hasn't.

Yes recruits suck, total agreeance here, and the casting team should actually do their job and search through applicants to get a great cast, instead of just sending CBS their bar tab because hey, they found a contestant on the dance floor! The only great recruits I can think of are Fairplay and Jonathan. But I think everyone just took Jeff Probst too seriously when he said they had to recruit 85% of the cast, the following people were the recruits this season Sekou JP Cristina Flicka Brad Jenny Nate Jonathan The following applied Ozzy (read his ign interview) Candice Rebecca (read her ign interview) Billy (read his ign interview) Cao Boi Stephannie Two were pulled from The Amazing Race casting this year (these shows trade quite often, hey as long as a person is applying to a show, makes them better then a recruit) Cecilia Parvati No word on these people just yet - Yul, Becky, Sundra and Adam So hopefully casting did a better job this season, Jonathan was casting gold, but he was recruited in a social setting, not at a bar or from myspace, Flicka I would say wasn't a bad recruit either as she put a new spin in the game, but the rest were just horrible.

He stated this himself several times and I read it in an article. Becky was also recruited. This has been said in articles. The person who spoiled Adam stated that he was recruited at a bar. We have no word on Sundra, but based on the fact that she's an actress from Los Angeles and does not list Survivor as a favorite show, it's pretty safe to make a logical assumption that Sundra was recruited as well.

Billy was one of the "top auditions" for the show? Out of all the guys in the states? Man, that kinda says "Americans are fat and ugly" or something. Or...I could just be lucky to be attractive/semi-attractive.
