Saw a commerical for this yesterday and I'm intrigued. They saw it's healthier for you than regular beef, but I'm pretty sure it's more expensive. So U9, or anyone else already have tried this? How is it?

I've had Buffalo burgers. Pretty tasty. Not that big a difference, really.

When I had it they were called BEEFALO BURGERS!
eta: I have a half-bison in my pantry, etc etc. |

Haven't we already kicked the buffalo around enough? We're lucky they're even still around.

They're pretty stupid animals.
Injuns used to chase entire herds of them right off of cliffs and then collect their sweet, sweet pelts. |

I imagined Wilford Brimley narrating that post. I'm gonna be doing that from now on.

Not much of a taste difference. Maybe a little stronger than usual beef. If you've ever had freshly butchered beef it's very similar.
They sell it seasonally around here. I don't buy it very often since it's basically not much different in taste. Ostrich. Now that's a different matter. Not that great. |

Ole Madge remembers one time when I was in Shelley Winters dressing room. That dame didn't have a stitch of clothing on and then she bent over to get
something and Ole Madge got the fright of her life. The back end of that woman looked like a slimey buffalo jowl.
Shelley had cat flaps you could sweep the parlor floor with. |

You have to be careful. Buffalo that is grain-fed is as bad as grain-fed beef so you are paying more for no health benefit. If you want the health benefit without paying a fortune just buy grass-fed beef. |

I use it instead of ground beef. It's much leaner, so you don't have to drain the fat after browning the meat. I use it to make tacos. It's also
very tasty in Hamburger Helper. My favorite is stroganoff.
I bought a package yesterday. |

How's about you let Ole Madge give you a health benefit, palooka?

I've never had buffalo meat, but I have some buffalo fiber, and it is softer than angora.

You're welcome.
I mean how dare you. I REALLY DO HAVE HAIR FROM A BUFFALO AND IT IS SOFTER THAN ANGORA. That should be impressive, unless you know nothing about fibers, then well... |
