For those of you in withdrawal, MTV is now playing season 3. I just watched Danny and Anya do their solos. They started with the top 12 results show instead of
airing the whole season, which kinda sucks since I loved so many of the dances earlier in the season. Ah well. It's Pasha and Danny and Anya and Sara...so
it's all good.

Just watched Pasha's elimination...that was so sad! I sobbed all over again. Not really sad for Misha though. |

I also agree with no more 2 hour shows. It was too much for me to catch up with and I was really getting annoyed with Mary's screaming and Nigel's
outdated advice to these talented dancers.

I view the show because I like to watch the dancers. I love dance. IMHO, Nigel and Mary take away from the show, not enhance it. Mary takes away any dignity
from the show with her screeching. I don't plan to stop watching watching it, but
hopefully I won't get so invested in who wins, since Nigel so blantantly manipulates the whole thing. It's a damn shame that Nigel, as a dancer himself, panders the show and the results, to make it more popular. Instead of just having the interests of the best dancers at heart. |

Nella, good points, though when Mary restrains herself, she can be an excellent judge. You''re dead on accurate about Nigel and his pandering to what
he perceives as popular tastes. It was all there in that dance routine he did with those kids on the finale. Nigel can certainly tap, but those spoken parts
he did and the weeble wobble they all did exiting the stage was just so cheesy and corny and dated and old fashioned in the worst way.
I don't mind 2 hours shows in the final 20/18/16 as there are so many dancers to squeeze in, but the contestants should not have to do two routines until final 10 or final 8. They went to two routines far too early this season and it showed near the end as the dancers were tired and the choreographers were by and large running out of ideas. Also would like to see in the final 12 a night in which boy/girl partnerships are broken up and have same sex partnerships. This season after a while it just got boring to watch yet another guy hitting on a girl or a girl freaking out on her ex boyfriend routine. There are certainly plenty of hip hop, jazz, broadway and contemporary routines that can be designed that don't have to be romantic and it would be something different. |

I was talking about this season with a couple of friends the day before yesterday and we both agreed that the bullshit didn't really bother two of us this
season in all it's OTT glory because we both were early fans of Josh. Our other friend was constantly pissed off at the show and would rage at the TV and
the three of us agreed that it was because she liked Mark. Josh was so UTR that he wasn't really involved in all the bullshit so we just enjoyed the show
pretty much just for the dancing. If you were a Mark or a Will fan you got involved in all the bullshit which ruined the season for them. This is NOT true
for everyone I'm just throwing out a lunchtime conversation between watchers, but it was interesting how we each saw this season so COMPLETELY differently
depending on who we liked.

I think you're 100% right. Josh was my favorite and Mark was my second favorite, so I recognized and disliked the BS, but it didn't come close to
ruining the show for me. However, if the final two guys had been Twitch and Will, the show probably would have been dead.to.me...
