I only continue to watch the show by fast forwarding through all of the judges remarks. It's amazing what a difference it makes not to listen to that pompous, bloated bullshit and concentrate on the performances. The Bollywood segment and Katie have been the best the show has offered this year. Past years have had many shining moments.

For anyone interested, Blake crying in Mia's class: You know, oddly enough, that was the first scene (ever) I saw of this show, and it convinced me to miss the entire first season. I turned on the TV, and saw this thinking "oh it's that dance show, I wonder if it's good." After about 10 seconds, everone was crying, and then the TV was turned off. It just seemed so stupid at that moment. I figured if the whole show was this odd, I would never watch. Now I see it as one of the funnier moments. Seriously, what is wrong with those people? They all need to some real problems to cry over. |

So far this season I have 2 favorite dances and they both come from Josh/Katee - Bollywood and the Mia Michael's contemporary piece to Hometown Glory.
I don't see a fakeness with Twitch like others have mentioned but then again I don't pay much attention to him in general. I think he's got a great talent doing what he does but he is just not versatile enough for me and as long as he doesn't win or touch F4 I'll be happy. I have never wanted a hip hopper to win or even touch F4 just b/c more often than not these dancers sucs in the other genres compared to the more trained dancers and get off easy b/c they are well, not trained dancers but for the 1st season I can honestly say that I don't think I'd be angry if Joshua won. I really like him, he clearly can master other genres and brings feeling to his dances. Should he win w/ others like Katee and Kherington in the competition? Hells no but I'd like to see him place Top 4 for sure. |

Realistically, I doubt she'll get two contemporary's in a row, but the pre-dance interviews would be entertaining to watch

Will & Katee are, without a doubt, going to be paired up. The judges are going to want to give Will the best partner and she is it at the moment.He might be a good technical dancer, but he just couldn't connect with the audience. If they felt the need to partner Will with Katee to pimp him up, they should realised Will isn't the best dancer. He hasn't had a single OH-MY-GAWD performance, and believe me, there is no voting parties for him. The current front runner is Mark & Katee, so I wouldn't be surprised they start hammering on Mark & Katee and to make him look good. |

If I were to speculate I would say that Katee will get her knees cut out from under her very shortly into the Top 10. The producers have an agenda and they
spend the first half of the competition drilling into our brains the ideas we should have going into the Top 10 (when WE control the vote). It's obvious
that the producers want a male hip hop guy to win. Katee is gaining too much momentum. They praised her to the heavens when she was with Joshua... possibly
to attempt to help keep him out of the bottom 3 weekly. Now that she isn't stuck with one of the "chosen ones" she will be de-pimped quicker
than anyone. They won't be able to risk her popularity growing anymore than it has. She did her job in the first half... helping Josh to stay bottom 3
free. Her gravy train has ended.
We have already seen the start of the de-pimping for Mark and Twitch... which leads me to believe that the producers had to make a choice going into the top 10 as to who they would push for the most before they hand over the reigns. Joshua is without a doubt TCO with Will getting a Danny type edit. Will make it to the top 4 but makes way for Joshua because of Joshua's "personality". Now mind you... I could care less about any of the dancers that I have speculated about... as a Courtney fan I could give two shits... so what I have seen and my opinions on the manipulation aspect of the show do not come from a biased perspective. Just like on AI (as I have said many MANY times)... SYTYCD is no longer about who we as the public like... but who the producers like and what THEY think will make for the best show. Obviously they are morons to think that America LIKES to be spoon fed... but just like on AI they will only create backlash (which has begun) and turn viewers attention elsewhere. As for "speculation" into the pairings this week... Katee/Will (let the de-pimping of Katee begin... she isn't a "GOD" like Will) Joshua/Courtney (she is a versitle enough dancer to make Joshua look good without taking his spotlight away)... ofcourse IMO she is far better than most give her credit for. Twitch/Chelsie (The chosen girl, the only ballroom dancer that can make the guys look GOOD... though they won't want Twitch looking too good... so give them some Jazz and perhaps disco. they will save her ballroom routines for the real TO.) Mark/Kherington (The de-pimping for them has already started and together they will be sent down the river next week with no life jacket) Jessica/Gev (cannon foder... time to go! I see ballroom in their future!) |

However, with the judges cramming down our throats that Will is some kind of god of dance, I am rooting for him to be the first guy out next week.I wish - but apparently he's starting to win every single online poll (I hope these aren't indicative). Even the ones you can only vote once in. I don't get the amount of Will love. He's good but not as good as they've been saying. And it seems from the Mark/Chelsie pairings, people prefer Chelsie and the Josh/Katee pairings, people prefer Josh. So I can't call Mark and Katee front runners anymore because on line polls have him the 4th ranked male and Katee the 3rd ranked female. |

no fuckin way is the Australian SYTYCD better than any season of any country's SYTYCD (except for the Ghetto Malaysian one, that is). It had 100% atrocious
choreographies, boring characters, boring jidges, a boring host and WAYYY too many (if not all, but ESPECIALLY the final two males) fuckin fairy queens. No
eyecandy at all. Bluerghhh.

It's actually not a fair comparison considering we've only just hit the top ten here, and the only really memorable routine I can think of off the top of my head pre-top ten was Henry and Vanessa's Samba. Most of the really good ones were post top ten in Aus. Also, nothing in Aus pre-top ten touches anything Josh and Katee did, save their WCS and perhaps their Broadway number. Mark & Chelsie would have absolutely ruled in Aus as well. And as much as you hate him, one in Aus was anywhere near as good a dancer as Will. It's also a matter of perception -- I DL'd the Aus version and watched it in marathons, so it felt like there were a lot of great dances in one sitting. It's different when it's only once a week. The one thing Aus had going for them was Jason. His judging beats the pants off of the US panel. |
