If Deal or No Deal presented their contestants a contract that said they could fix the winner, and the contestants signed it, Deal or No Deal would be in trouble. Nobody sues because they're stupid enough to sign their life away and every contract states that some decisions are up to the "producer's discretion" or something like that. I must not be that big of a douche because I would never under any circumstances allow myself to get involved with such a bullshit contract. The government got involved back in the 50's and that's why till this day there's a standards and practices person on the set of every game show. Big Brother and Survivor haven't been called out yet and probably never will be because they're considered primarily reality shows. Except they're not because of the gigantic cash PRIZE. They can fuck with people's minds all they want, but when it effects the outcome of who wins the money, that's when it's a problem. Except it doesn't matter because these people signed their lives away and apparantly don't care enough to protect themselves.

OMGZ!11!!!!1 needs to take a deep breath and remember that this is a crappy reality show and you'll forget 90% of the players when the next season starts. For the life of me I don't really think they are going to give a shit that as their favo player you cried and moaned "RIGGED!" when the game didn't go their way. THEY WILL NEVER EVER MEET YOU TO SAY THANKS. As we all know this game can only be rigged by Natty's God. KNOW THAT.

I agree . For instance if they were really prepared for " Big Brother " in the truest sense ? They would have been keen to why a kid who wears a pink Mohawk and is very determined was cast . What type of stereotypical fears were raised by James in the HGs that are more mainstream ? Look at what Natty did with it ? James is an evildoer egh Its still a great social experiment . I love the game .

He had to explain it to Jen (no surprise). But, I totally agree, they should be made to read the book before entering the house. Better yet, give it to them instead of the stupid Bible.

No, It's is a "reality competition" -- not a game show. The FCC made this very clear about five years ago when every Claymate on the planet complained about his losing American Idol to Ruben Studdard. Reality competitors are compensated for their times in addition to competing for a prize. Participants on games shows are not compensated as a general rule nor given a stipend for expanses. It's all on their own dime. Once casting for a reality competition is done, they become cast members, not contestants. That doesn't mean they're low paid actors, though. Here's a good run down on the difference between reality show competitors and actors. The fact is that this show can be produced and much as it wants. It's not rigged...producers just use extremely heavy handed tactics to get the reaction they want. Ultimately the HGs make their own decisions, but as the article above mentions, they also sign their lives away to be on the show. They have no one to blame but themselves. Now he can make a sequal after the second season of Big Brother. It was definitely rigged for Will, Dani, Evel, Jen from season 8. I could go on and on but most on here have already proven the point.

I am surmising, based on the lack of intelligence in the post itself, that you failed to read the posts that addressed 1984 and the origins of Big Brother. I doubt any of these bozos have heard of it, except maybe James. I think that if they are going to let them read a book, it should be "How to Win Friends and Influence People." These people are clueless, they could've used the help and it might've been funny to watch them scheme. Either way, anything would be better than a religious book. Really, I don't think they should be allowed to read, 'cause it makes it more boring for us.
