Battle of the Seasons. 2 favorites, one man/one woman, from each season voted back into the game by viewers. Since there are 12 seasons, not including the All Stars season, at the beginning there'd be 12 pairs of two.

Assuming everyone were available and All Star contestants aren't eligible, possible pairs:

Borneo: Greg and Colleen
Australia: Mike and Elisabeth
Africa: Silas and Kelly G.
Marquesas: Sean and Gina
Thailand: Brian and Penny
Amazon: Matthew and Christy
Pearl Islands: Jon and Darrah
Vanuatu: Chris and Ami
Palau: Ian and Steph
Guatemala: Brandon and Cindy
Exile Island: Terry and Cirie
Cook Islands: Ozzy and Parvati
Total Castaways: 24

Since there would be too many people at the start, each season pair, would compete in one first challenge. The tribe that comes in first place wins individual immunity and the power to be team captains (For example, if team Exile Island wins the first challenge, Terry becomes the captain of Tribe A and Cirie becomes captain of Tribe B. And both Terry and Cirie are granted individual immunities.) However, the last two pairs to finish the challenge are sent home right off the bat leaving 20 competitors.

From that point the 10 pairs are now seen as just 20 people and a school yard pick 'em takes place creating the two tribes of 10.

For example, using the example that Team Exile Island won the first challenge. The captains begin choosing a member of the opposite sex:

Tribe A:

If tribe A happens to lose first immunity challenge, as a reward for winning first challenge, Terry is immuned at TC.

7. Elisabeth
8. Ian
9. Cindy
10. Jon

If tribe B happens to lose first immunity challenge, as a reward for winning first challenge, Cirie is immuned at TC.
