I would have done the exact same thing if I were Sayid.
Who do you trust, Ben who was lying to them all the time--or the captain who has been surprisingly forthright? |

I think this is the first time I have been really disappointed in Sayid. Doesn't matter what Michael has done, he (Sayid) should be smart enough to keep
his fucking mouth shut until he knows for sure what's going on with all these people.
Maybe it's just me but I have a feeling from the look on Capt's face that he wasn't surprised by Sayid's revelation. I think we're seeing the beginning of Sayid turning into an asshole. Or so it seems anyway. Who knows.. maybe the people he kills in the future (for Ben).. maybe that's in the best interests of the O6, but at this point it's not looking that way. We'll see... |

I completely understand why Sayid was upset by Michaels betrayal... but couldn't he have just beat him up or pee'd in his cheerios or something? I do
not understand the strategy of letting the (obviously crazy) Captain know this much information. How will it help Sayid and Desmond, not to mention the other
Oceanic folks? Usually Sayid's actions seem pretty calculated even when fueled with passion. I do not understand this move. He is aware that he and Desmond
are basically being held prisoner at this point? Aaah well, I'll wait and find out. Please feel free to chime in if you can think of a positive aspect to
Sayid having spilled the beans.

I don't know why everyone is bitching about Sayid approaching the captain about this information. He is one of the O6 so he must have done something right
along the way. And it's not like he has anything else to lose, since he's on a ship with a bunch of suspicious people, so he might as well take the
heat off from himself.

The fact that there are a lot more than 6 survivors invalidates the idea of "something right." Assuming you don't read any spoilers (I don't), for all we know, Sayid's actions may be one of the main reasons why only six people are back among the living and known as the O6. I also thought that it was rash and out of character. I don't think Sayid is necessarily above rashness (and with all the dumb moves by most of the other alpha males, Sayid's allowed a few rash moments), but I would've thought Sayid would have played Michael's identity close to the vest (especially in LOST where everything seems to be a game of cards). |

Yeah. Sayid is no Mohinder. It was the extreme Michael hatred and mistrust that sent him tattling to Ben, and thus it seems justified.
But since we all know he'll be calling the kettle black in the future, I guess we can make fun of him for it. |

Michael Shmichael. Sayid has always (except for when Shannon got got, as the late Omar would say) been a rational, logical thinker. He doesn't make rash
decisions, regardless of "it's ok because it's Michael." Don't feed me that rubbish!
