Here's a thought: After Tom made the comment to Kate, "You're not my type," a lot of us were making facetious comments about Tom saying that
because he's gay. What if Darlton tossed in that scene last night as a nod to the fans?

I think they included the scene because they realized the show didn't have a token gay guy...I guess Tom was it.
